Hello Steemians,
welcome to the sixth part of our trip on the island of Sardinia.
After a long day we finally arrived in Cala Gonone. There are only two roads to Cala Gonone, which descend from the mountains steeply down to the village.

Cala Gonone - we are coming! It was already in the evening and the tourist boats came back from their day trips to small beaches south of Gala Gonone.
We had booked two nights in advance at the Hotel Pop near the port. The hotel was ok, even if it only had two stars.
The next day we went on a trip to the imposing gorge Gola di Goroppu.
We left the hotel after the breakfast and searched the parking lot near the canyon. Unfortunately, our navigation device build in year 2005 did not knew the small roads and ways, so we had to navigate manually and drove a few times in the wrong direction.
After an hour drive we finally reached the parking lot and started our hike. Since there are no restaurants in the canyon, we had our food for the whole day in the backpack.
Right at the beginning of the hike, we had to cross a small river.
We passed small farms, some of them dilapidated. But these buildings are still used, and the pigs also felt very comfortable in this area.
After a two-hour hike we reached the awesome gorge Gola di Goroppu. We rested here, ate lunch, and made our way back.
The way back was due to the heat and lack of shade a bit strenuous. The fruits on this tree look like strawberries. They are even edible, but we had not dared to eat them since we did not know whether they were poisonous or not.
In the early evening we refreshed ourselves with a dip in the sea at the cosy beach Cala Cortoe north from Cala Gonone. Unfortunately we had to drive the next day southwards to our next accommodation. If you stay in Gala Gonone, you will stay for 3 nights, so you can visit the Gola di Goroppu in one day and visit the small beaches south of Gala Gonone by boat the other day.

Die Karstlandschaft hat ihren ganz besonderen Reiz. Die Früchte auf dem Baum sehen sehr verlockend aus, aber ich hätte mich auch nicht getraut, sie zu probieren ;)

Sieht richtig schön aus! Wie lng wawrd ihr komplett unterwegs?
Vielen Dank @redtravels. Vom Parkplatz irgendwo im nirgendwo bis zum Eingang der Schlucht ca. 1,5 Stunden. In der Schlucht selber sind wir dann nach einer halben Stunde über Stock und Stein an einer Stelle nicht mehr weitergekommen. Da ging es in einer Stufe paar Meter nach oben, und ich bin nicht so der Kletterer, da haben wir dort abgebrochen.
Nice! A little Adventure schadet net, hört sich aufjedenfall nach nem richtig schönen Trip an und die Aussichten die ihr hattet bestätigen das ja :)
Ja, aber an der Stelle abzustürzen oder sich das Bein zu verkacksen macht auch keine Freude, zumal das ja noch in der ersten Hälfte von unserem Urlaub war :-)
Das stimmt am ende kannste das Risiko ja mal eingehen haha... Am Anfang oder vorm Urlaub krank sein ist das schlimmste....
Danke für die tollen Eindrücke. Ich durfte die Insel zweimal besuchen, einmal sogar per Segler von Rom aus. Und es war immer ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, nicht nur wegen des smaragdgrünen Wassers. Deine Fotos sind wie ein flash-back im Positiven. Einfach atem-beraubend...

Ja, diese Assoziation hatte ich auch immer, zumal ich seit der Kindheit immer "Sardinen"-Dose statt "Sardellen"-Dose sage :-)

sehr schöne Bilder! Sardinien ist wunderschön, und allemal eine Reise wert. Da ihr ziehmlich in der Nähe seid: ich kann den "Gennargentu" (Silberpass) sehr empfehlen. Ist das höchste Gebirge in Sardinien, und landschaftlich schön! Es gibt mehrere Gebiete mit alten Korkeichen und Dünen-Trichternarzissen, sowie generell sehr schöne Flora. Was mich sehr fasziniert hat waren die wildlaufenden Pferde, die sieht man in Deutschland so nicht! ;) Auch Flamingos gibt es zu sehen, diese allerdings in der Gegend des "Stagno di Cabras". Und solange ihr noch dort seid (und Käse mögt) probiert unbedingt den Scamorza, vor allem den geräucherten. Ein Gedicht!

Vielen Dank für Deine Tipps @dysprosium. In der Nähe des Silberpasses waren wir auch und haben eine Wanderung gemacht, haben den aber irgendwie nicht wahrgenommen. Ich kann mich auch nicht mehr genau an die Stelle der Wanderung erinnern, ist ja auch schon etwa 8 Jahre her :-)

Those are some amazing photos. Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow and that is a wonderful place to have inside you.
