CITYTRIP TO BERLIN!

in #travel7 years ago

Hi Steemit!

A few months ago I went to Berlin, I really liked it and wanted to tell you about this.

Arriving day:
We left early in the morning from home. (Amsterdam)
In the evening we arrived at our hotel (Hotel Aida).
We went for a little walk across the Kurfürstendamm, drank a little beer.
We walked back to the hotel and got some sleep.

Day 1 in Berlin:
We woke up and went to the supermarket at the other side of the street, to get some breakfast.
After breakfast we took the train and went to Alexanderplatz.

We made a little walk on Alexanderplatz and then we decided to go in the television tower.
The view was AMAZING! I could see the whole city.

I got a little thirsty so we went to Starbucks to get some coffee.
That was such a nice coffee... LOVED IT!

We got back up the train and went to the Stasi museum.
In the museum there are permanent exhibitions about the origin and functioning of the Stasi.
Really interesting to see.

We catched the metro and walked a bit through Berlin, we ended up at relics of the Berliner Wall. It was very impressive to see.

We walked there and ate something and the ober of the restaurant told us that we had to go to the Bernauer Strasse.
So we thought why don't we give it a try. And we ended up at the Bernauer Strasse, we walked a bit there and saw some impressive walls.

We went back to the hotel and took a little nap. After the nap we got some food and ended the day with a nice cup of coffee.

Day 2 in Berlin:
We woke up very early, got some breakfast again.
Got to the train station and went to the Reichstag.
Sadly there was a festival or something so we couldn't see the Reichstag with a nice view.
So we thought skip this building, we go to the Brandenburg Gate it was just around the corner.
We drank some coffee again at the Starbucks.

After we got a nice seat at the Starbucks we went to the Holocaust Memorial, it is a place in memory of the murdered jews through whole Europe.
It is very astonishing.

We walked along some embassies, I like the buildings from embassies a lot because they are huge and so overrated big haha...
We came out at Checkpoint Charlie and took a typical cultures picture.

Around the corner we saw a small restaurant where we got some food.
We got the metro and train back to the hotel and took again a little nap.

In the evening we went to a very nice restaurant, which was very delicious.
We made a evening walk across the Kurfürstendamm (there are a lot of very expensive shops...)
We got a cup of coffee and went to bed because we were very tired.

Day 3 in Berlin:
We really had a good nap and got a bit to late up... ;)
Got again some breakfast, had a really slow morning.
We had an appointment in the afternoon so we got the start of the day free.
I thought let's go shopping. We got to some shops, bought some clothes and got back to the hotel.
We went to trainstation and went to the appointment.
The appointment was a bicycle tour through the hotspots of Berlin.
I saw some super nice places, like Cassiopeia. It is a little place in the middle of the city with much graffiti walls.
I do like graffiti so for me it was really nice to see the walls. There was also a place where people build hangout spots for themself.

We were very tired of that day because we cycled 22 kilometers...
We got back to the hotel and fell in a deep sleep.

The next day we drove back home.

This was my city trip in Berlin. I really like cities and I am going to visit many of them.

Thanks for reading!
