People were crossing the bridge in order to look around the temple.
What I'd like to introduce you at first is the pagoda in this temple.
The one of the most prominent relics in Magok-sa temple seems the pagoda in the center of the temple.
The pagoda with 5th story seems to be made in Goryeo dynasty. But the upper part of this pagoda looks like to be influenced from the Tibet Buddhism. Actually Tibet Buddhism came into Goryeo after the Mongolian Invasion. So through the war with Mongol, Buddhism of Goryeo had a relationship with Tibet Buddhism.
It seems that the war was the massinger of the culture in the Ancient society.
This pagoda is unique in Korean temple.
It looked marvelous Tibet and Goryeo had had a close relationship 1000 years ago, even though both countries were located at the end of the world at that times.
After the collapse of Goryeo dynasty, the Confucianism became the ideology of next Choson kingdom. Naturally the influence Buddhism in Choson dynasty was weakened, so the traces of Tibet Buddhism seemed to be removed through Choson dynasty.
The carvings of the pagoda are the typical style of Goryeo dynasty pagoda. Those carvings are said 4 Buddhas protecting Buddhist world.
