Negros Occidental has never been known to have beautiful white sand islets paired with crystal blue waters. This is basically because people only know of Boracay Island that is not too far away from Negros. With Boracay’s closure, other island destinations are slowly taking on the spotlight. And yeah, Lakawon Island in Cadiz City Negros Occidental is one of those frontliners. It’s absolutely beautiful and is worthy to visit. I don’t wanna spoil more on its beauty. It’s for you to discover. Cheers mates!

How long is the travel from Dumaguete? Any places that you can recommend if one is based in Dumaguete?
Hi @bayanihan From Dumauete it will be around 6-7 hours via Bacolod City. Sure there are a lot of getaways with Dumaguete as start off.
Apo Island - From Dumaguete City you can ride a jeepney or Bus going to Malayapay port, its just an hour away from Duma. It is one of the best snorkeling spot that I’ve been to. It is also hood for Diving. And sea turtles can be found everywhere.
Manjuyod Sandbar. I think I have a write up about it here. Let me just find it.
Go South to Sipalay. They also have good beaches and waterfalls there.
