Have you ever been to Maramures, Romania? There is a special place in Northern Romania, in the land of the deep forests and on the edge of the Vaser River where you can find Mocanita. Recently I've been visiting the Vaser Valley and I discovered the nature beauties travelling with Mocanita - the steam train for tourists. Originally it was created to transport wood and water but now thousands of tourists take the advantage of exploring this wonderful adventure. The last forestry narrow gauge steam railway in Europe, Mocanita, welcomes you to discover its secrets. If you are passionate about photography then here you will fill up your camera's memory card with lots of stunning photos.

The Vaser Valley it is really amazing and even if many tourists are going there, you can still find peace and quiet in the nature.

The steam train has several stops on the way because it needs to load up with water.

Mocanita seems so stressed out here though. The pictures are amazing. If ever I make it to Romania in my lifetime, I will remember you posted about this valley Debora

I never been to any European country, but I'd love to go and visit romania someday. Thank you for sharing this, I need to google this country and learn more from it.

You're welcome! Romania has many beautiful places to visit and Europe too

I hope I can go to one of them in the near future. Thanks again maam

but is there a STEEM train? :P

😂😂 I hope there is

but yeah, Bucharest is easily available to travel for us from Latvia :)
I am just not sure - how good is infrastructure inside RO?
how easy is it to find a bus and go somewhere etc
it wouldn't be as easy in LV (not always so often, not always so convenient), and we are approximately on the same level heh ...

There is a train crossing Romania, from Bucharest to Sighetu Marmatiei (59km away from Mocanita) and from there you can easily find buses to everywhere you want to go in that area.
