"Life on Rottnest" Imagine Paradise.... What do you see? Beach, Water, ocean, crystal clear water... If this is your imagination, than here you go: Go to Rottnest Island on the shores off Perth, Western Australia. This Island is home to the weirdest Rat-Kangaroo species called the quokka. A cute and tiny something all over the island. Snorkelling, swimming, and quite peaceful hang out place. Shot with my Nikon D5300.

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
At first sight the view is very similar to Norway, Northern Canada or Alaska. But nope, this is Baltic Sea during pretty cold period of time, maybe week or two. The coast starts to be frozen with some nice ice formations on the stones
The shot is done early morning on sunrise with a soft warm colors pushing through overall cold blue. And the boat with two fishermen in bright red coasts was just at right time and right place :) A bit of long exposure added. Enjoy it!

Sahara Desert, Merzouga (Morocco). I took this picture on my travel through Morocco on the new years eve 2016/2017. The location was south/east of Morocco in Merzouga, an small village besides the desert on the algerian boarder. I still cant find the right words I could say about the saharan desert, it was just magic and definitely the most peaceful and silent place i have ever been to in my life. If you ever have the chance to go there - do it !

Photo of a sunset over Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. I took it from the top of the El Avila, a mountain of more than 2000 meters above sea level. This mountain range separates the city from the sea. The height difference for the top of this mountain to the city is more than 1200 meters.
very mesmerizing ~ 💙 ~
What an epic image! Thank you so much for your wonderful contribution.
A drone view of Torre Del Paine - Patagonia
This is one of the most famous places in South America - Torre Del Paine in Patagonia. Here is a rare drone image, taken by me, from way up high. From about 450 m above the ground, note how it is very flat until the towers rise up above. I think this is a very special photo. Hope you enjoy this photo, I have been saving it for a special @czechglobalhosts Saturday.
This is unfiltered but filtered versions can also be found on my blog
Wow, I feel very privileged that you kept this image specifically for my contest. What a great entry that is.
Thank you and glad you enjoyed it! I am saving one up for Antarctica but not sure I want to compete with all of the coastal photos...
Iguacu Falls at Sunset
Most people visit the Iguacu Falls in Brasil only in the morning when the park is packed. I stayed until sunset and enjoyed the warm colours that the sunset painted on the impressive waterfalls.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.
What a place to visit this must be! I need to add it to my list:)
Thank you so much for your wonderful entry.
Nighttime view of the Tatacoa Desert in Huila, Colombia. Tatacoa is popular not only for the beautiful red earth, but it is also a good place for astronomy. I used a flashlight to illuminate the foreground and the nearby city of Neiva lit up the orange clouds.
What a wonderful image! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.
The Los Roques Archipelago is a group of islands belonging to Venezuela and is one of the 4 best preserved reef ecosystems in the entire Atlantic Ocean. It has a great diversity of marine environments where a huge amount of species coexist. For this reason it was decreed National Park in 1972.
That must be a great place to vacation.
La Plata River in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay.
In the summer of 2017 I hitchhiked all the Patagonian territory in Argentina and Chile. Going back home was one big journey crossing 3 countries, including Uruguay. There I stumbled upon one of the most fantastic sunsets in my life, I stood there mesmerized by the colors. From that moment on I was not sad anymore with the end of my trip, I was actually happy that I've had the opportunity to do it. This is photo is the memory of that moment.

Wow, that is an epic image to keep your memories alive. Well done!
Isn't it beautiful? I remember sitting there just contemplating, all the way until the sun was gone.
Today I want to show you a beautiful view from this place: Boca de Río - Isla de Margarita (Venezuela). The landscapes that can be admired are very diverse. On this occasion we can see the fishing boats in the beautiful sea from the pier. You can also appreciate the vegetation and the beautiful blue sky.
Thank you so much for your contribution to my contest.
Today my photo is of the Manzanillo beach located on the Isla de Margarita - Venezuela. This beach is well known, especially by its fishermen so it is inevitable to visit it and photograph its fishing boats. From this place you can enjoy magnificent landscapes and unrepeatable sunsets.
Thank you so much for your participation. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Tomas
A dedication to the moon:
I couldn't get a picture last night from the blood moon, because it was to clouded here! (Boooo)
But this picture i made 14 november 2016 while i was travelling through south america in Punta del este, Uruguay with the super moon. After the moon slowly faded away, the morning set in with the sun making a beautiful color pallet..

This beautiful view was in the Pedro González Valley, a town located on the island of Margarita. The construction seen in the distance corresponds to one of the most important hotels on the island; The front has a beautiful white and crystalline beach called Puerto Viejo. All people who pass through this area usually make a stop to take pictures.
View from the castle San Carlos de Borromeo
One of the most visited places on the island of Margarita is the city of Pampatar, not only for its beach and its famous restaurants but for its history, here is the castle San Carlos de Borromeo which has a beautiful view of the bay of Pampatar. This image is taken from the upper part of the castle.
USHUAIA
This picture was taken in the winter of 2015 from my hotel room at Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. You can see the “wooden” city and at the background the ending of the Andes mountains.
Sucre Venezuela hot springs pool. My favorite place for vacations.
This is a fantastic hot springs spa ideal to spend the day having fun sliding down the dolphin-shaped slide and swimming in these warm waters, here you can also take sweet coconut water by the large amount of plants that there are of this fruit. In the Sucre state there are many pools of this type like this one called Oasis.
This place is known as El Malecon. It is located in Cuidad Guayana in the state of Bolivar on a trip I made 12 years ago to my maternal family. That is one of the largest rivers in the world called Rio Orinoco and flows into the Delta Amacuro state. What caught my attention that day was that many cargo ships that contain iron, aluminum and other metals that are exported from this important state pass through this river.
View of the front of the castle San Carlos de Borromeo on the island of Margarita, Venezuela. This castle is one of the places you can visit on this beautiful island, where you can spend a very pleasant time, take photos, appreciate the history of the castle and see the bay of the town of Pampatar.
bay of juangriego / margarita

Surroundings of Joaquina Beach. Florianópolis / SC - Brazil
