WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT

Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday #21 – winner announcement!

@kcaj88 Asian Sunday entry:

This is a photo that I took in Xinjiang, China. That's a Euphrates Poplar Forest which is about 6000 years old. Euphrates Poplar can live up to 3000 years old and even though the trees are dead, they can still stand for another 3000 years. I think they are tough and strong there for I took that pic.

Lake Tekapo

We were told that during the summer the lake is full with motor boats, wakeboarders and jet skies. When we visited in early December 2010, we were the only people on the whole lake. Our guide turned off the engine of the boat and I heard my heart beat so loud, because it was so silent around us. It was crazy! Lake Tekapo is famous for it's little chapel and the crazy turquoise water color.

Just beautiful... looks so calm. Tomas

It was early evening and I was walking along the coastline at the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney with my camera and tripod looking for something to shoot. I was almost at the end the the trail, close to Mrs Macquarie's Chair, when I was treated with this beautiful skyline of the City of Sydney, with all the colours reflecting on the water. I spend quite a bit of time there, perfecting my shots. And here is the best one.

Sydney Night.jpg

You did capture an amazing image! Stunning!

Thanks Tomas!

This is the star sight - The Twelve Apostles on the star route - the Great Ocean Road, in the star country of today - Australia. What makes my shot a bit special is the flock of black birds flying by. =) There are actually only eight Apostles left out of the twelve limestone stacks off the shore.

File Feb 12, 23 26 48.jpeg

The black birds really add to this photo!

Thank you so much for your submission, stunning as always. Tomas

My pleasure! Thanks Tomas for your support.

My entry today is another photo from Whisky Bay Australia, taken during a memorable sunset. This beach looks so pristine and it's also not very crowded. During this sunset for example we were the only people there. Only a Wallaby came down to the shore for a few minutes to watch the show.

Wow, looks really warm and cozy. wish I could be there now

wow, great shot, looks like a mac screeen save. Fantastic

I've been enjoying all your Whisky Bay photos. You even got a wallaby? ;)

Not on this photo. But there was a Wallaby which went for a short bath that evening. I first thought we'd need to resque it, but apparently that's what Wallabies do from time to time

Wow, nice picture! Where exactly is it?

Perfect as always👍🏻 Thanks for sharing!

Pretty sunset colors 👌 😍 so serene

I will just add to the rest of you funs, amazing!

High up on the New South Wales coast, not far from the border of Queensland is a great little beach town called Yamba. It could be one of the best kept secrets on the coast offering beautiful beaches and great surf, with a fraction of the tourists of Byron Bay.

Amazing pic! Thank you for sharing with all of us. Tomas

Broome is a place located on the Western Australian coast. It is a place where you can see dinosaur footprints when the tide is low!!!

There are two kind of beach: Classic sandy Beach and orange coloured Rocky beach. This really is a fantastic place to visit.

Location: Broome, Australia.

Thank you so much for your great entry. Tomas

The dramatic rock formations rising from the Southern Ocean in Victoria, Australia are known as the 12 Apostles (although there are only 8 remain due to collapse). Their shapes are ever-changing as wind and ocean continue to cause erosion.

I hope the rest will stay for the generations to come. Thank you for your great entry. Tomas

Beautiful pics @polebird 👌

thank you guys!! :)

One of the main stops when driving the great ocean road in Victoria, Australia is this lookout point where the name escapes me... but if you get there at just the right time, youre gifted with the most amazing sunsets.

Yep, that is a spectacular sunset!

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal wonderland ... one of the must visit places in Rotorua! This geothermal pool called “ Champagne Pool “,it has a bright color that caused by trace amounts of arsenic and antimony. I captured this image when it’s raining, but it still stunning! Love the misty effect atmosphere 😍

I've been there as well. Great place to visit. I remember seeing a group of bikers in the leather clothes while it's being so incredible hot and all the different smells all over the place like "Devil's pool";)

Yes,it’s great place to visit. I went to devil’s pool too. I love all the different colors of the pool in Wai-O-Tapu

Simply beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

Here's my entry for today:

karekarefalls.jpg

I took this photo while visiting Karekare Falls, which is located in the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. It is a wonderful place to explore on foot and the scenery around this place is quite spectacular. The park is at about a 40 minutes drive from Auckland.

Location: Karekare, New Zealand

Thank you so much for submitting this amazing image! Have a great day and stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas

Rotorua, New Zealand

Around that lovely town in the middle of the Northern Island you will find many crazy and strange looking places like mud pools.
The earth is active in this area so the mud is hot and bubbles burst from time to time.
I was lucky to take this shot just when this little mud bubble burst and before dropping back down, quite an interesting view.

I took this photo on a hike along a coast in New Zealand (can't remember exactly where anymore), the weather was bad but it didn't matter. I found a lot of beautiful cliffs and enjoyable views of the sea.

I took this shot in Shark Bay (a World Heritage Site) in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. This bay is known for its stromatolites, colonies of microbial mats that are said to be the oldest life forms on earth.

Shark Bay

Glass House Mountains

I took this shot when we visited the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve a few weeks back. It shows the beautiful Glass House Mountains in the distance. From this point you will have the most breathtaking view over these Mountains.

G'day mate! I pass these mountains almost daily living on the sunny coast! And I love the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. I have to blog about this underrated hinterland one day! :D

cool, thanks for your comment. we love the hinterland of the sunny as well as the hinterland of the gold coast and byron bay. beautiful nature

The Bondi to Coogee walk is a coastal walk in Sydney. The Bondi to Coogee walk extends for six km with views of Bondi Beach and the coast all the way to Coogee. It is a great trail featuring sparkling bays, secret rock pools, stunning cliff top views and sunny cafes. Highly recommended.

This photo was taken on the open water at the Great Barrier Reef, while doing my PADI Diving License. We were on the boat for about 5 days and slept in these tiny cabines. In the middle of the week, I was really exhausted from diving day and night, and went to bed early, but not before the beautiful sunset! :)

Love it! Great shot. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Stradbroke Island

QLD Australia
Stradbroke Island Is Brisbane's best kept secret, It is my favorite place in the WORLD! Here is a picture of the main surf beach on North Stradbroke Island. The Island is full of wild life and some of the best beaches Australia has to offer.

This is a photo of the iconic beach boxes I took during my visit to the Brighton beach in Victoria. Each box is unique and they add a lot of colour and character to the beach which makes it a perfect place for taking some unforgettable pictures.

outback.jpg

I took this shot at sunrise, it shows Uluru, the sacred mountain of the indigenous people of Australia. When you're standing in front of this amazing mountain you can feel the real spirit of Australia.

This photo was taken on Fraser Island, while touring around with a 4x4 wheeler for 3 days. The waves were quite high and the weather perfect, as always in Australia! Fraser Island has a lot to offer the island has rainforests, eucalyptus woodland, mangrove forests, wallum and peat swamps, sand dunes and coastal heaths. Definitetly worth a visit!

Hi Tomas - just a small suggestion is are you able to extend your cutoff times for these competitions because by the time you post them up, its around midnight Sydney time or later depending when you post them and the cutoff time is 10am so by the time we get up and get ready for work, many of us in Australia might of missed the cut off. I love your competition as you know as I have been supporting it from the start but sometimes I miss alot of them due to the time zone difference. Talk to you soon :)

Hi, no worries. Will change that. Thank you for your suggestion and have a great day. Tomas

thanks!! Appreciate that! makes me able to participate more often again

I'm glad I'm not the only one :) - enjoy your holiday in Bali!

Thanks! Same here for me in Australia. I'm ok with it as a night owl, since I always stayed late to post my entry before going to sleep, though I missed it sometimes too if I was not online at midnight. It will be cool if I can also enter during daytime. =)

gosh you are dedicated! Sometimes the post comes on later so I just go to sleep and too busy to post right in the morning. glad Tomas has extended it for us Aussies!

I can only participate at the moment cause I´m on Bali. Had the same problem when I was in Brisbane.

Good point! For me the cutoff time is 9am in Queensland, so I always stay late the previous night to enter my photo.

This is really fantastic, im a beginner as a photographer and envy how good you are with all of these photos, how I wish I can be like you too..

Great photography these are awesome

Lake Mckenzie on Frazer Island! There is nothing more to say then this is a beautifull place! Peacefull, relaxed and somehow always sunny!

You have some gorgeous photo's on your blog.
I would love to use some for my cartoon style artwork. Is that ok?

You can see some examples i did for other Steemians on my blog.

Watarrka National Park, Northen territory. Home of the Kings Canyon.
Do the rim walk. A 6 km walk around the canyon with spectaculair views. The 3 hour walk is steep in the beginning but the rewards are amazing. Start early because it can be very hot.

The volcano shape is really perfect like the mount mayon in Philippines and the Fuji in japan

The reflection of d montain in the water is so beautiful. Its a nice place to be.

Walking along the beach in Hokianga, NZ, with my father and my son, looking across the harbour at the sand dunes, feeling alive, like I was part of something huge, something magic. The colours were brighter, everything felt right in the world. This photo captures that moment in my memory.
