Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #25 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

One of the great things about my work in television production is being able to travel around the world. But it's a double edged sword when I travel for work. Basically, I had a total of 16 hours total in Bahrain (most at night) so sadly I didn't get to see much of it. But I did get to see this!

This is the Al-Fateh Grand Mosque in Manama, Bahrain. It's one of the largest mosques in the world with the capacity for 7,000 worshipers at one time. The mosque was built in 1987 and now also houses the National Library of Bahrain. The dome is made entirely of fiberglass, making it the largest fiberglass dome in the world!

Isle Ogoy, Lake Baikal

Lake Baikal is one of the most evocative places in Siberia. Like Russia itself, it is vast and ancient, perhaps one of the oldest lakes in the world. An enormous lake formed by the shifting of tectonic plates, Baikal’s blue depths contain roughly one-fifth of the world’s fresh surface water. It’s staggering in its size and depth, and stunning in its beauty.

Isle-Ogoy-at-Sunset-Lake-Baikal-Russia.jpg

That sure is stunning!

Tomas I think this image is copied from the internet.
Can we use the image From the internet?
Giving credit to the author of that image?

@abdulmanan @czechglobalhosts This image is not copied from internet, but captured by me during photo trip to Baikal in March 2016. I have RAW file for this image and can prove it is mine. Also it is displayed on my website - https://www.ansharimages.com/Stock-Images/Russia/Baikal/ .

By the way - why do you think it is copied - did you reviewed my profile and my other social networks to think so?

I think it was a misa understanding, is that website is yours?

Today I'll show the photo, that I made during my trip to Vietnam not with a mirror camera, but with a NIKON 1 AW1 compact camera. One evening I went to the Lake of the Returned Sword in Hanoi with my family. It is a natural reservoir located in the center of the Vietnamese capital.
The history of the lake is linked with the name of Le Loi, a fisherman peasant, who later became a landowner and a king. Being a commoner, at the beginning of the XV century he headed the liberation movement, because in those days, Vietnam was occupied by the Chinese. If you believe the myth, to win the war, Le Loi was helped by a tortoise, who gave him a magic sword.

Amazing shot! Thank you so much for sharing! Tomas

Bringing Burj Khalifa to life required a combination of visionary ideals and solid science. In the process, the project amassed an awe-inspiring number of facts, figures, and statistics.

Enjoy this night view!

This is a photo I took during a trip to Lao Cai, a mountainous province in northern Viet Nam. My photo is about a small village of H'Mong people. The H'Mong are among the 54 ethnic groups recognized by the government in my country.

Thank you, Tomas

The sun was just beginning to break away from the horizon. And the fishermen are already dragging their little boats into the water. Here on the shore at this time only fishermen and photographers. Both of them catch something. Fish or good photos. Even the dogs are still asleep.
Fishermen spend a lot of time in the sea. And I was very surprised when I saw how small their catch was. But they have no other choice. After all, everyone has a family that is waiting for him.
Philippines morning

Namsan Tower, Seoul

This was an image I took from Namsan Tower in Seoul. The sunsets here are amazing, it is one of the few positives of the air pollution.

This is the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore. It is shaped like a boat with three pillars and on the top of the roof is a bar and a swimming pool. It's a quite famous place to visit as many tourists want to go up and take photos from from the pool. There's also the only casino in Singapore inside and if you are a foreigner and bring your passport you can go inside and play, Singaporeans cannot as it is not legal for them.

kanazawa.jpg

Kanazawa, Japan

One of the lovely gardens which you can find in that cozy city on the west coast of Japan. The also call Kanazawa "little Kyoto" because of it's many temples, shrines and gardens. A must visit spot which I only can recommend

A man hanging new prayer flags to the biggest Stupa in the world. Under the colourful wisdom eyes looking over the city of Kathmandu, hundreds are coming to spin around this Stupa
while reciting the mantra.

Taken on 30 May 2017 when I first visited Saiko Iyashi No Sato near Lake Saiko, also known as "The Samurai Village". This is a picture within a picture; shot to remember my kids, but also to capture the awe I felt as I gazed at Mount Fuji's majesty while feeling its ethereal kami.

Hong Kong’s busy MongKok area. It’s one of my favorite HK neibourhood, with countless shops, snacks. Crowded forever. In my opinion it gets the real gem of the city.

This is the recent picture of Basantapur Durbar Square, Kathamandu Nepal, an UNESCO world heritage site and one of the attraction of kathmandu. This place is one of the old royal king's palace of Old kathmandu kingdom. However most of the temples and buildings of kathmandu durbar square is badly damaged by 2015's earthquake and only few temples like in the picture are remained, and reconstruction is happening.

I would like to participate in this contest, this is my entry

Thailand fdfs.jpg

This photo was taken in Thailand specifically in Chiang Mai, in the Elephant Nature Park a beautiful place where you can observe elephants of all sizes as well as being a rescue and rehabilitation center for these animals, an incredible place where they give all the necessary care to these fantastic elephants.

Photo of the Chinese Great Wall near Beijing. It is one of the greatest and best wall known monuments of China, as it can be seen in the photo it has many visitors. The wall goes along the mountains as a serpent. In the photo it can be seen the sky quite gray, this was the usual sky during the time of my visit to Beijing.

I took this photo of a lake just outside of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand right before I set out to a morning of fishing. The boats in the photos were the yahts of the lake and we ended up taking a 5 meter tiny canoe looking boat that was no more than a meter wide. While the boat was tiny, the fishing was great as we went out to catch snakehead and actually got a couple.

Israel Dead Sea - one day in one of the unique places on Earth.
The Dead Sea is unique in its kind. To begin with, its coast is the lowest land area on Earth - 422 meters below sea level. With the split in Eurasia and Africa, an intercontinental depression appeared, forming a drainless salt lake between Israel and Jordan. Its name was given to the sea due to the high salt content in the water, because of which no living beings and microorganisms can survive here. The content of mineral substances in water is 33%. The figure itself probably does not say much, so I note for comparison that in the Mediterranean Sea only 4%. Water here is 8 times more salty than in the ocean. This is the deepest salt lake on Earth, nearly 400 meters deep.

Hi, my entry for today's asian sunday contest is a photo I took on the island of Nang Yuan.
This beautiful island in southeast asia is located not too far from the idyllic diving islands of Koh Tao.

33 bridges in Isfahan, Iran. We spend 30 days traveling around beautiful and stunning Iran country. Isfahan in the most popular city for tourists because of famous Naqsh-e Jahan (Imam) Square, Bazar-e Bozorg and lot's of more architectural and cultural places.
164.jpg

Taking the ferry to Koh Tao, Thailand takes some effort. After the bus took us to the ferry we had to wait in the middle of the night for 4 hours. No sun came to rise, but it was a beautifull morning in an even better place. If you go, make sure you have your camera ready.

My visit to Abu Dhabi, thus is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi on of the most beautiful mosques with great architectural work around it and to pray there is just so peaceful. The mercedes in the pic just adds to the class.

Gandrung, is one of the traditional dance arts in Banyuwangi, Indonesia since hundreds of years ago.
Gandrung Dance, is the cultural identity of the people of Banyuwangi. The gait is the charm of tradition that holds a million stories. Despite the drowning in the changing times, Gandrung will remain, guarding and guiding the younger generation of Banyuwangi.
IMG_3142.jpgHi @czechglobalhosts, this is my entry for Asian Sunday.

I've posted about this dance here.

This is a photo I shot during a visit to the Tsunami Museum in Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province, Indonesia. This is one corner of a Tsunami Museum building called a "Bridge of Peace" and the museum building is made like a large ship form anchored in the sea. Above the sky of this museum building there are also flags of various countries that have participated for Aceh in humanitarian relief and recovery after the tsunami that hit the westernmost province in Indonesia. | Photograph @zikmaulana

This beautiful tea garden lies in Ilam district of Nepal. One can enjoy immense beauty of landscaped tea gardens views and fresh mountain air of Mount Kanchanjungha, the world third highest mountain. The tea of Ilam is exported to many parts of Europe. One of the unique things that always happen in Ilam is that the fog suddenly appears to cover the tea gardens and disappears suddenly and you can feel different climate at this time.

Beautiful photography

I see start the post with copyright notice that gives the impression that this issue is very huge. I'm photographer too and just start posting my works and it concerns me also. Interesting to which direction to point who is doing this. Have difficulties to understand that stilling from other will not make richer but poorer and sooner or later will get reflection. I hope soon this issue will strictly regulated even by people themself. Nice work and thank you for sharing.

I made this photo Last year in Tokyo Japan.
The Tokyo Skytree Tower and it has 634m hight making it the world's highest communication tower, that means you really can see It from everywhere.
it’s located not far from Ueno, Asakusa, Kappabashi.
Fact it’s a new Tower but so fast it has become a new Symbol of Tokyo.

A moment from our trip around the world.
We hitchhiked from Lithuania to Iran across Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia. After all those long months of continous traveling I can say - Iranians are the most hospitable people I have met so far.My girlfriend @kamile and I near the famous Azadi Tower in Tehran, Iran.

Japan was our first trip overseas from Australia. We spent 12 days and absolutely loved every bits of it because it is such a different culture to ours. This photo was taken at the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine in Kyoto (just at the exit of Kyoto). We visited this shring on our way to Nara. There are over 10,000 torii along the path to the main shrine. The torii were donated to get a wish to become true or to thank for a wish that became true. It creates a beautiful visual effect!

Singapore Skyscrapers.jpg

Singapore, September 2017 - It was a gloomy kind of day, but finally, the sky opened up for the sun to slowly shine and emphasize the beauty of Singapore's skyscrapers. This sight is lovely by the day, but even lovelier at night. Regardless, it was a mesmerizing sight to see whilst walking along the Marina.
