This is a great interview, I just picked up a copy of Blumenthal's book "The Management of Savagery" and am looking forward to sinking my teeth into it.
The thing that is really bad is not simply that the USA has done this before, but that as we now know they are doing it again in Libya and Syria. I have learned one thing from watching war documentaries, every war creates a Hitler or Bin Laden, and the war in Syria will definitely create a monster that that world will be seeing soon. And it may already have shown itself in the form of isis and the spread of islamic extremism to the heart of Europa. There is a price to pay for this type of politics, but it won't be US and European politicians that pay it, it will be the general public that has nothing to do with does decisions and usually doesn't even know what's being done in their name. If a ordinary person sends a box of sandwiches to Islamic terrorists in Syria they will be arrested for supporting terrorism, if a government official sends an entire airplane full of pallets with boxes of weapons, ammunition and medical supplies destined for the enemies of humanity, nothing happens.
