Companies that are not migrating to Office365 can expect many new features with the 2019 launch of the new MS Office toolkit.
For those of you who didn't know, Microsoft Office consists of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Apart from that, it gives access to Exchange, SharePoint and Skype for Business. Even though Microsoft is pushing its enterprise users to the cloud-based Office365, many SMB's still want to acquire the MS Office products with a one-time purchase, as opposed to the monthly subscription model that O365 uses.
The big difference (product-wise) between these two models is that the 0365 users receive new updates and features immediately, while the stand-alone product users often have to wait for a major update to be pushed. This being said, feel free to explore some new features in this Microsoft blog post: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Office-Apps-Blog/Office-2019-Preview-is-ready-for-Commercial-customers/ba-p/187506
