Your Laptop Has Problems .... Do Not Throw It Away

in #tech7 years ago (edited)

When a laptop battery is "aged battery ", instead of throwing it away or buying a replacement, there is a very useful way to save a ton of money when recharging the battery with just a simple operation.

Common laptop batteries its life expectancy is 3-5 years. After a maximum period of about 5 years, your laptop battery will appear symptoms such as aged batter, battery charge is not full, battery error, battery will not charge again as soon as you plug in the charger...

In this case, do not rush the battery as seemingly useless. Please check whether it is a NiMH or NiCD battery, if they are these battery you can properly apply the following steps to save your laptop battery from 60-80% performance recovery:

  • Step 1: Turn off the computer and gently remove the battery.
  • Step 2: Clean the battery and wrap it in a dry towel and place it in a plastic bag with a zipper.
  • Step 3: Put the battery in the freezer for at least 12 hours - be sure to record the start time for the refrigerator. You can even leave the battery in the refrigerator for 72 hours.

  • Step 4: Take out the battery from the freezer. Do not need to hurry to take the battery out of the plastic bag, you put the plastic bag (don’t take out the battery from plastic bag) out of normal air and add 10 hours more until it reaches the temperature in your room.
  • Step 5: As soon as the battery pack temperature has dropped to room temperature, remove the battery from the plastic bag, open the towel and clean the battery with a dry towel until there is no more moisture on the battery.
  • Step 6: Install battery to laptop but DO NOT OPEN your laptop. Next, you plug the laptop into an external power adapter and charge it until it is full.
  • Step 7: Once fully charged, your laptop battery is now resurrected, disconnected from the power charger and tested. Although this method does not really bring your battery back to its original state 100% as before, but you've successfully recovered between 60% and 80% of the battery life. From now on, you'll have to drain all of your battery power (use it when you power it off) and recharge it a few times to feel your laptop battery recover better.

So do not throw a laptop battery when battery is aged, you will regret knowing what trick I shared above
