I love eggs especially soft boiled but I never like scrambled eggs.

I have recently tried making poached eggs and it took me couple of time to succeed. Since then, I love “poaching” eggs.

I was so pleased and satisfied; this was my poached eggs on toast bread, spread with Avocado. It’s sure yummy delicious!

Very strange, after that I do not seem to make it right anymore!!

Frustrated and disappointed!!

So, I watched many videos on making poached eggs and one of the common advice they gave was adding Vinegar. I tried that too but failed.

Well, thanks to famous Chef ~ Jamie Oliver & Gordan Ramsay; they commented the most crucial and agreed upon making perfect poached eggs is “Freshness” of the eggs. We need the freshest possible eggs. No wonder I can’t make it right, my eggs usually from fridge or supermarket!

Now, I would recommend soft boiled eggs to replace poached eggs… life is less complicated ....Lolx …

Please allow me to share my way of making half boiled eggs:

Half boiled eggs

Water in pot then bring it to boil, add a teaspoon of salt.
Put in the eggs and switch off the heat. Time these eggs for 10 minutes.

Hard boiled eggs. 2 in the morning with yolk. 2 by 10am without yolk. 2 by 12pm without yolk. 2 by 3pm without yolk, 2 by 6pm without yolk.

I don't get it, is this a yolk?

Minus the cholesterol.. Intake protein only. @davidke20 smart. You must very health conscious.

Too much protein can damage the liver, so I wouldn't recommend this as 'health conscious'.

Kidney, and when there's not enough water intake. Also, depending on what kind of protein we're talking about. That's for me. Am not a license nutritionist. So don't take my word.

Yeah, I'm not a nutritionist either. Just repeating stuff I (mis)remember hearing/reading. Thanks for the clarification.

Seriously 10 eggs per day? Is this for the fitness purpose? I saw some of my friends who go to gym also eat a lot of eggs.

Yeah. The thing is, too much yolk go to waste, people tend to whack the whole egg and koyak cholesterol level.

whoa... this is like full flege egg day (without) yolk. Lemme share this with ny brother and see what happens.

Don't later become fat ady come find me ya. Haha.

Nice tip about only using fresh eggs for pouching. Will have to remember that as I love poached eggs, and wondered why sometimes they worked and other times not.

@antonchanning apparently we need fresh eggs. :P

I love all types of eggs including scrambled eggs. Why you don't fancy scrambled eggs, just curious. ;)

on the side note, i never can do poached eggs successfully so I always go for hard or soft or scrambled or fried. High-5 for being egg lovers! #teammalaysia

I don't know what to say, just never like the texture but I do cook for my family. They love it.

i only tried poached eggs once. and it did not turn out well haha.

However I have never tried with salt while making soft boik eggs. Nowadays i have my mini steamer to do the trick so that I wont forget and I can also prepare for work while the steamer does its work.
