Anonymity on Steemit is hard to achieve... I mean, you really don't have to dig very far to find out about some people on here, since we are induced to publish a photo and... to speak about ourselves. When I see some of the stuff I have published, I wish I had thought about it before because... the blockchain keeps everything right?

Yes I agree with you however some people do stay anonymous to the public except their friends
The introduction post we posted during our early days in the platform were not required but lots of us submitted to it for the reason of making connections and establish relationship in the community.
Yeah, and always useful to prove you are not some random bot...
But there are those who choose to remain unknown especially the rich :)
