It really beats me, the fact I have never seen this species of animal before.
I watch NatGeo Wild a lot (been reading the mags since the 90s) but I cannot connect this animal with anything I have seen.
What got to me was that this could actually be a rare species (living in Nigeria).
Most locals just see it as good luck (bush meat sent their way in the form of a wild animal they were able to kill) as bush meat has traditionally been a delicacy.
So please, if anyone knows what species this is, can they please say?
