This digest is the 42nd episode of the #stemng digest series where we bring to you some of the best posts under the #stemng tag in the past edition.
For those that do not know yet, stemng is a sub-community of steemSTEM, a community-driven project which seeks to promote well-written and informative Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics posts by Nigerians on Steemit. The project involves submitting quality STEM-related posts to the steemSTEM management for upvoting and resteeming where applicable.
More information about stemng activities are found here, while details of what it means to be part of steemSTEM can be found here, as well.
As we usually do, we have sifted through the stemng tag and even though there were several good posts to choose from, below are the posts that stood out for edition #42.
First Post: Would Human (Homo Sapiens) Go Into Extinction Episode 1: Would Another Homo Species More Intelligent Than Homo Sapiens Evolve?
The first post for the digest is from @ikchris. The theory of evolution is often one that is either mired in controversy or shrouded in mystery. What if the Homo sapiens, the only surviving member of the human species are not the last to inhabit the earth? What made the other homo species to disappear and go extinct suddenly? Find out some of the answers in this article by following the link above.
Second Post Blockchain unchained: Explaining the concept of blockchain technology
The post by @joelagbo was one done at the appropriate time. In the midst of the massive selloffs in the cryptocurrency industry, it is crucial to understand the fundamental technology behind the industry.
Third Post: Insights on Parkinson's Disease
Fourth Post: Debunking Shits About Evolution - Episode 6 [Human Evolution And Anthropocene]
Just like the Myth Busters, @samminator is here to set the record straight on some misconception on evolution as he continues the series from last week. We would not put up a spoiler here by writing on what that is about. You can always find out by visiting the blog as we guarantee it is both entertaining and educating experience. Please do not take our word for it, check and confirm it yourself.
Fifth Post: Why People Act The Way They Do
Ever wonder why people's temperaments are different? Why that your neighbour is continually keeping to himself/herself or the other neighbour that never seems to keep his/her nose off of your affairs? Well, if you do, you are in luck. Please take a trip to the blog of the new steemian @ulewis to find out more.
About the selection process
The post for each day was selected based on consensus between the stemng management, in persons of @greenrun and @gentleshaid. The @gentleshaid made the week's selections, while @greenrun presented it.
