Pros and Cons Of Powering Up Posts

Hey Steemians I wanted to just share some pros and cons regarding the power up option which you see at the bottom right section when creating a post.You have a option to choose from 50/50 payout vs powering up 100 Percent.

Well it's really simple actually when you opt the 50/50 payout you essentially get the payout for your posts in both Steem dollars and Steem power.It is important to note that you get a higher payout in Steem dollars than Steem. For example if your post earned 5$ you might get 3.1 in Steem dollars and 1.2 in Steem power and the rest will go to curators.

Whereas when you opt for 100 percent steem power all the earnings you earn you will receive in Steem power.This strategy might be beneficial for someone trying to increase there steem power to 500 so they can use the slider lol.

In my opinion the powered up steem may be considered by some whales as a good thing for the platform because it shows you are willing to wait out on instant withdrawals, so it's possible you get more whale upvotes on your post(This theory has not been tested yet)

You get more steem on your payouts

More Steem power you have the more you are worth on the platform.

Potential whale up-votes.

You get the legendary slider once you reach 500 steem powered up

Cons of powering up 💯 %

You don't get instant payout in SBD

You've gotta wait 13 weeks if you were to withdraw all you're steem

You don't get the slider

You're followers miss out on curation from you're posts.

If you go with the power up strategy you could go in with a goal that I want to get X amount of Steem then stop and reward my followers with my newly acquired voting power.
