RE: The Steem Sister Show – Episode 07 // Spirituality and Religion – PART ONE

i skipped the questions, because i am mainly interested HOW you emancipated from your church/ parents (Part2?)

I guess your parents also live in Bellingham? Do you attend church at the weekend in any form?

I love christian values but i really dont like church, it is a waste of time. If you have a good circle of friends you treat honestly it is a full compensation.

"God - he is all wise, all present, all powerful, but he always needs money. He just can't handle money" - George Carlin on (instituionalized) believe.

OMG that George Carlin quote is hilarious!! Our parents do live close by - a little outside of Bellingham. They still attend church every week. I maybe go once a year to go with them on Easter, Christmas or something like that. Not even because I have the desire to go...but because I know it will make my mom really happy. :)

i like the values, but i need my libertarian lifestyle with spontaneous order.

we have some very nice churches in Leipzig. One even with a very famous boys coir - But the preachers are in general very theoretical.

I heard some people comparing God with the internet.

  • all present
  • all wise (never forgets)
  • all loving (?)
  • all knowing

Do you think that comparison is valid?
