Learning with Memory Techniques: The Periodic Table of Elements (26-30)

in #steemiteducation7 years ago (edited)
This is an easy way to learn Iron, Cobald, Nickel, Copper and Zinc. Learning with memory techniques is much easier than rote repetition. Especially when the images are already layed out to you in a clear and intuitive way. In this series we will memorize the Periodic Table of Elements by connecting it with the Visual Major System for numbers. We will cover five elements per post with special training images for all elements and numbers.

Elements Legend

Each element comes with a special training image. These contain the element number, a common application, a phonetically similar image for the name and the element symbol. The color of each training image indicates the element category.

26. Iron

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 6 = G and K. With that we can create the word NECK. The twentysixth element Iron sounds similar like Eye. This element is often used for weights.

A giraffe is training her neck muscles with weights that are so heavy that her eyes pop out.

27. Cobalt

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 7 = L. With that we can create the word NAIL. The twentyseventh element Cobalt sounds similar like a Kobold. It can be used for magnets.

A nail is resting on a wooden post. When a kobold comes by the nail is pulled out and shoots into the kobolds head. His brain is made out of magnets!

28. Nickel

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 8 = B or P. With that we can create the word HONEYBEE. The twentyeight element Nickel sounds like the word nick as in prison. The element is often used for nickel coins.

Come up with your own story or ask your students to that.

29. Copper

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 9 = J or CH. With that we can create the word NACHO. The twentyninth element Copper sounds like the word cop. The element is often used in electrical wires.
