RE: My favorite lesson to teach... makes the students want to revolt!

This reminds me a bit of a german film called Die Welle... except that didn't end so well so I guess it's not that relatable? hahaha but it's a cool film.

Wow that sounds fantastic! Engaging lessons are the best! They truly never forget it.

I once taught my class about possibility and perspective (from a philosophic point of view) and their role in decision making and we designed a role playing game sliiiightly based on Fallout RPG. They got to represent a character that had a set of skills and perks but also a few vulnerabilities (most of them were secret) and they had to work with that and complete a series of tasks to choose 10 people amongst 18 to enter the "vault" and be saved from a possible nuclear apocalypsis. They got so upset when our class ended and we couldn't "finish" the game, we had to do a second round on the next class.

But I seriously liked your lesson. I'm always afraid I'm going to "lose control" of the class if I attempt this kind of lesson (I mean that they will truuuly get revolting and there will be no going back haha) but I've always thought of planning one.

You know what? This has inspired me.. I think I'm gonna actually get to planning it! haha

You can hold it together as long as you have establish great rapport with the students. I would not attempt this too early in the year.

Have you checked out @steemiteductaion? It is a growing community of educators here.

I have not but I most definitely will! Thank you!
