Agree with you ! Support is very important, but I think that writing something like: "follow me please" is not necessary if you produce good content and have real interactions with people here on steemit. :)

maybe it is a matter of luck as well i.e. regarding photography i have seen but content as well but with high income
Luck is a part as well, but you can get "more luck" if you post and comment regularly
