That really nice idea and good post sharing for people like us who searching for success. I think you are right we have to follow whale users ans read those users post so we get idea that what we didn't do which they did and also get to know that how they use topics and writing skills and day by day we can sure improve in our writing skills too.
Learning from people who have been successful is never a bad thing. Dimming your light in order to mimic someone else because of wanting to be as successful as them is a bad thing. Sometimes people forget how important it is to be themselves. Learning and taking from your surroundings to better yourself is awesome, but dont lose yourself while trying to find success. All you'll do is lose the most important thing you've ever had. Good post and thanks for taking the time to view the video. Upvoted.
I agreed 1000% with you that we have to be ourselves no matter what situation will be. we'll get there, if we put our intention to do good things for ourselves and others as well.
Well, not all content you produce will be well-received, but don't give up. Keep improving and have fun by trying new strategy all the time. It won't be easy but you'll definitely find satisfaction in the result at the end.
The Truth is easy. This is the First post I have seen on STEEMIT that contains this simple yet so complicated idea for some.. Just look at all of the succesful folks on the Tube as well.. Most of them are just being themselves and that is what attracts people to them in the long run. It may not be the original reason for watching but the REALNESS shows without trying and attracts viewers like a magnet..
I appreciate the words thinksalot. The more we realize that being ourselves will provide us with all of the success that we will ever need, the more content we'll be in that success. upvoted!
I agree with you 100%. Nothing worse than someone coming along trying to blow a bunch of smoke up your ass in the comments section. Be yourself! Gave you a follow...
Everything that we need is right inside us. We get so caught up wanting to be what other people expect us to be that it dims our light. 100% true!!!
THANKS for sharing @jetiknight
Lol yeah when I started that's all the advice I got..to attract whales and write stuff they were looking for...I just wanted to do what I knew ..talk about mental illness and abuse, cooking and traveling thats what I know about. I was initially afraid nobody would be interested but then I thought that's stupid because that's what I talk about on other social media and in real life..so your after listening your video I'm gonna start posting what I know again...thanks @jetiKnight...and Hi I'm Kayleigh :) :)
Hey Kayleigh. Thanks for taking the time. I did the same thing listening to that type of advice. The moment I saw myself doing it I stopped, and here's why. If I became successful at doing something that wasnt "me" then I would always have to maintain that character and you can lose yourself like that. The people that are most successful are the people who gained that success by being his or herself. And once that success came it's so easy to maintain because all you're doing is simply being yourself. Thanks for taking the time. I've upvoted you, I will now follow you and take some time to view your page. :-)
Thank you very much...I am going to start blogging regularly. ..I have lots of stories to share ..I'm on a journey of healing and maybe through some of my stories mi might be able to help others who are going through what I have been through ...if nothing else its kinda of like therapy for me..plus I love to cook and I can take some of the Best recipes and tweek them just a little to make them healthier without losing flavor...I have only done a couple blogs ..but watch out here I come ..thanks for your support :) :)
When you give what you're really doing is providing for yourself. This is why you have that feeling that when you share your stories with others it feels like therapy for you. Funny how the world works huh? Thank you for the support as well. This video was quite the therapy session for myself as well. :-)
Everything that we need is right inside us. We get so caught up wanting to be what other people expect us to be that it dims our light. Thanks for taking the time Swiss!
We all searching to be our perfect self, this is what makes interacting with one another in a truthful way so awesome. Thanks for taking the time to view the video Alex.
I love how obviously not obvious this is. I for one just be myself. I love gardening and homesteading and thats where i have made steemit friends. I find it so much easier talking to people i have things in common with.
Keep on steeming people
You're absolutely correct Clouda. Its funny how people believe that being successful or having success is something outside of what they are. Everything we ever needed is within us. We tend to search the world when everything we will ever need is right within us. upvoted!
In all honesty i think some people think this is a get rich quick scheme. You just got to look at all the posts about people whinging because they arent getting payer as much as last week or last month.
Great Advice. I think as long as you are yourself and share your personality with others you will eventually succeed. Im new to Steem and trying to building my channel, will apply exactly what your talking about. Thanks for the great post!
I appreciate the words and you taking the time to view the video David. I didnt even expect this type of response to be honest. I've been taking the past 2 hours to respond to everyone who's taking the time to view the video. And to think, all I wanted to do was just talk and be honest. :-)
Great advice thanks. What I was always told was write and talk about what you know and care about. I did come here looking to see why some posts are more successful than others:)
There is no magic method really. The best thing do to is put your work and ideas out there. Whomever appreciates it are the people that see's your worth. Success is never about quantity, but quality. That goes for friends and supporters as well. Thanks for taking the time Blues.
I thought I suppose to follow whales and comment on their page. Thanks for your advice, because the other advice hasn't work out for me! I think gonna try your simple approach instead :)
Hey Crystal. You decided to be yourself, and you already got an upvote from me! Look at how easy that was. :-) Thanks for taking the time to view the video, I truly meant it.
Thanks for keeping it real I can appreciate that. Because that's exactly how I felt. This is my first week on Steemit and I've watched some of those videos. And I was thinking how can I appease people for a vote that I don't even know? And I said to myself, all I can do is keep it real and be myself and seek out people that I have something in common with and see how it goes.
I appreciate you taking the time the view the video Brotherman. I was in the exact same situation as you when I started Steemit. It's a new platform and im looking for all of the information that I can find to help me get started. I quickly realized that the best way to start was simply being myself. I ruffled some feathers along the way, but once I realized how to move on the platform, it's all downhill from here. Thanks for the comment! upvoted!
Absolutely agree with you. Being yourself though it can be difficult to be open and to share things that really matter for you with the entire world, especially for someone who never blogged before, this is the only way to do something real, to write about something unique and to create your own world, which will attract people who understand you, have common interests with you and share with you things inspiring you. Very simple but so important and so true. I think we all know about it, but sometimes we forget. Your video made my day. Thank you for that.
I appreciate that Cryptocat and Im glad you found this video worthy of resteem. The reaction to this video has truly been more than I expected and im a bit taken back by all of this positive reaction to the video. The power of being yourself! :-) Upvoted!
The key to success is to develop a long term strategy by communicating with the people who have the same interest as yours, not begging for upvotes and earning pennies in the shorter run.
Be yourself should be the song for newbies!
BOOM! so true.. yet not so easy when immersed in the greediness of success and lost in the ocean of willful steemians.. detaching from " what will they say about my work" is such an art... you manage it really well! inspiring! thank you
You're exactly right. The problem with people having success on steemit is the fact that they're thinking about the financial aspect of the platform. I've never signed up for a forum and suddenly forgot how to be myself or what I wanted to talk about. The financial aspect has become a distraction in many ways! Thanks for taking out the time to view my vid. Upvoted.
Thanks Surprisebit! Tonight has been an awesome steemit night for me. Overwhelmed by the response of this video right now. Oh, and I followed you, because...well, you know. AWESOME! :-)
It's true. I read up on Steemit before I made my first post and was afraid I'd make a mistake and mess up my Intro. Every day I felt like I had something to say but wouldn't post because of "wanting to do it right". Finally, I just said forget that line of thinking and just write what I felt in the moment. I'm so glad you posted this video, this suggestion. It's what I intend to do, and whatever happens, let it be. I just want to share my mind with others.
Thanks for the words Luck. I know that feeling. My first week on Steemit I completely wrecked my rep number, then got a bit frustrated with it until @Craig-Grant told me to focus on doing my thing on my page and dont worry about the outside noise. The man was right. upvoted!
I appreciate that for sure. He could have resteemed it or maybe just asked me. But not everyone is as thoughtful like yourself. Thanks for looking out!
You're welcome pwny. I truly didnt anticipate such a reception with that video. I just resteemed a steemit member who wrote a poem based on this video. It's been a wonderful night for me engaging with the steemit community. I just followed you!

I wasn't expecting this but thanks for the reminder. I would like to add you should have fun on Steemit, and don't try to hard.
