I did not know all that. Steemit still has a head start in either security or user. I don't think there will be a serious competitor. Anyway thanks for the information.

The only thing we have going for us is each other from the way I see it. It took only a couple of months to build and launch Steemit and steem using the Graphene toolset for building blockchains. EOS is going to present new advantages that a competitor would certainly exploit. EOS will be at least as secure as steem, if not more so.
