I'm still liking an affirmative action to maintain witness votes.
Both voting and holding office.
This is a game, it needs to be played.
So, longer than coding a bot is worth, once or twice a year, for me.
This will give us a blockchain holiday to celebrate.
As for dead fish, for sure 2 years, and probably 1, imo.
It will have to hinge on the active key, too many autovoters on zombie accounts.
I guess golos decided that no use of the active key >6 months and you get powered down.
Scared me into changing my keys.
I should have done it when they split into .id and .io, I guess.
All hail that blond guy!
Yeah I heard about the golos power down thing. That has some merit, but kind of scary from a security point of view. It mean people leaving accounts idle are put at risk of having their coins swept if the key gets out. I think I would prefer to just stop votes.
That powerdown is bogus.
What next?
Steal the coins after X months?
I thought they needed my keys to do that, but,....nope!
I don't think it is anywhere near as bad as stealing coins, but still not a good way to deal with the issue.
Yeah, I gave up on them when fire stuck burned them to the ground.
Does golos even trade anywhere?
It's a real shame, they could've out performed us, but you know, greedy people gotta greed.
Hated to see you shut your witness, but I get it.
I don't know if golos trades, but I'd guess maybe some small (likely shady) exchange. There are so many of them I would find it hard to believe that literally none of them trades it, but then again the Steem/Golos nodes are pretty expensive to run, so the risk that literally all exchanges and even all nodes go away is greater than it is for most blockchains.
Hmm,....
I got like 400sbd over there, in golos mostly bought at a dime.
Well, i still check my xanga.com every once in a while.
We appear to be full steem ahead, now!
