What is Filezilla

Filezilla is a powerful and free software to transfer files from your computer to the internet. This is the FTP solution for webmasters all over the world.

I've been using this Open Source Software ever since 2006 when I started building my websites. It is easy and very convenient to use to upload files onto websites. This is a great tool to use to manage website files through the FTP Client.

What I like about Filezilla

  • Filezilla Client supports FTP
  • Filezilla Client also supports TLS (FTPS) and SFTP
  • This is a reliable free software for website builders to use
  • When problems arise, there is a forum available to ask questions
  • The file transfers are efficient and fast
  • This is a Cross platform that runs on Linux, Windows, MacOS
  • This software is available in many languages

      Cool Hunt, Hunter.

      Pros:

      • FileZilla is a reliable, accessible program with many basic functions and advanced tools for expert users.
      • Easy to use, feature rich, includes site manager functions.
      • If you are serious about FTP, FileZilla won't disappoint.

      Cons:

      • It stores your FTP credential in plain text instead of encrypting it. Therefore the onus is on you and your operating system to protect private data.

      THIS AN EXCELLENT CONTIRBUTION!
      Let give yo my personal thought due to I previously been working with FTP Servers so I know a thing or two. An awesome hunt for those who are beggining to understand how the data transfer works. Let me give you my personal thoughts about FileZilla :

      Pros:

      • Free to download and start using at the momment you download it.
      • It's multiplatform so you can use it on Linux, Mac, and Windows.
      • I'ts open-source.
      • I was a totally unexpiernced with this whole thing with servers and file transfers servers, so this was easy to use and include on Xampp and start building WordPress projects.
      • It's a reliable alternative compare to others FTP Clients.

      Cons:

      • You need to configure first the secure transfer method to guaranteed the save of your data.
