Been saved is not the only reason God called us all. God needs people at every point in time that will meet a particular need in His church, the essence of you been a Christian is the purpose God called you. God needs men to fufil purpose, people He can direct and make use of,from the topic we see that there are certain men God uses and for God to use you there are certain requirements.

John 9:31
We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and a worshiper of Him and does His will, He listens to him.

There are hindrances that will make God not to make use of you as he wants, so also there are attributes we must possess and imbibe for Him to make use of us.

PREPARATION AND ATTRIBUTES OF THE MAN GOD USES.
If God wants to use a man, Be prepares the man, when we do not prepare well in life failure is inevitable, our success and fulfilment is a function of our preparation.
For God to prepare you He does the following;

  • He will sit on you: This certainly means that God is going to consecrate you in preparation of been used, making you fit and ready to do the work He has destined you to.

Malachi 3:3-4
3He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the priests, the sons of Levi, and refine them like gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord offerings in righteousness.
4Then will the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in ancient years.

The essence of passing Gold into fire is to burn out its impurities and make it shine.
Before God uses you He needs to sit on you, consecrate and set you aside. What is your reaction towards God's preparation on you? God wants you to be transformed, a transformation of sanctification, so that your offering, thanksgiving, praise and worship will he done In His righteousness. If you are not properly prepared then there's a limit to which God can use you.

1Thesalonian 5:23-24
23And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
24Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it [fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you].

  • A sure conviction and confidence in His word:
God can never say what He will not do, whatever God says to us us sure and certain and He will do it. We might not know all the bible verses but we do have confidence in His words we profess. Most people lack confidence in His word, and if we lack confidence in God's word, then we lack confidence in God himself.

  • God uses a strong man:
The man God uses shouldn't be a man that cannot go above the level he is now, what makes you different is the level of your personal encounter with God.

Hebrews 5:13
13For everyone who continues to feed on milk is obviously inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action), for he is a mere infant [not able to talk yet]!
Chapter 6: verse 1
1THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God,

As people that God wants to use, He wants you to grow to a mature extent, matured in His word, in experience, in following Him etc. Righteousness is what you grow in if you desire Him to use you very well, then you wouldn't be as a baby in Him but be matured.

God sent His son, its takes a son to exercise authority, to manifest and to control, not until we decide to grow from being baby heirs of the throne into matured sons of the kingdom, we wouldn't understand our stand in Christ and our possession in Him. God cannot you use to do or put you in charge of what He knows you cannot handle.

Let us make endeavor to grow in grace likewise, we cannot meet up God's measure and standards not until we decide to grow in grace. Its high time we grew up to take our place.

N.B: We can do better than what we are doing now, God has no limit, no apex and no finish line. The level of your yieldedness determines the degree of your eventual manifestation, if you do not given it all to God you cannot get His all.

Other ways of been prepared to be used by God includes

  • Be consumed with the passion for God (psalm 132:1)

  • Depart from iniquity (Titus 2:11-13)

Excellent message, the people God uses, are people who throughout their lives will be processed in different areas, the process is a stage of pain that we must go through but the most beautiful thing is that God goes from our hand, strengthens us until We are ready to do what he wants. In my life experience I have gone through many processes and deserts, that arid land where there is no water, but the lord is your sustenance, it gives you to drink. If I had to go through it again I would not doubt it, it is in that process that you see God face to face. All the great men of antiquity passed through the process of purification. Many years ago I asked God about these deserts, and he answered me: If you had a young child, would you give him your vehicle to handle it? So I am as a father, I can not deliver things to my children when they are not ready, if I gave them to them, it would be for their destruction. And I love them, I am your formator, oh Israel.

Good to hear from you vikebun, Thanks for sharing with Us!

Good write-up, God always prefer those who are nothing and make them something to glorify his name so that all eyes may know how great he is for all man in all sort of life.

Just as gold is purified through high temperatures, so we are tested as gold, through pain, God cleanses our impurities and purifies us to be ready for battle. At first we do not understand, we even complain and think that God has abandoned us, but the truth is that, despite the pain, suffering or anguish He is there in the middle of the test, bringing comfort and strength, what matters in the end it is how we will be for his glory and honor, we all have a great purpose to fulfill in the Lord and nobody escapes from the furnace. God bless you greatly thanks for your teaching.

God created each and every one of us for a purpose, even before we were born God has already designed who and what we are going to be, just like Jeremiah, before he was born God consecrated him, he separated him. So also today, we all have a specific and peculiar purpose why we were created, but we need to prepare ourselves and our mind for the master's use(according to Peter).

God has not saved through his precious Son Jesus, and we are called children of God to fulfill our mission to have a focus on giving his word and serving him alone, he wants great things from us that we like with our actions, actions here on earth. God bless you

This type of men is what God wants to be used for the purpose he wants to make, God always uses us for many good things but he wants willing men like these from here, to do the things that God sends us.

(Exodus 4: 2
And the LORD said to him: What is that {that you have} in the hand? And he answered: A rod.

(Judges 15:15)
And he found a fresh ass's jawbone {yet}} and stretching out his hand, he took it and killed a thousand men with it.

I love how you show the process God takes the person He uses for His purpose. He took Moses through a process. Same with Joseph. The thing is God does not need us for anything! He is all sufficient! He made it by His design and preference as God to choose to partner with mankind as He accomplishes His Work on the earth. He almost always uses one of His people. It is His Way, but only by His choice!
Great post!
Thank you!
