RE: Introducing steem2wls: Automatically cross-post your Steem posts to Whaleshares

you know quite frankly that's my issue with steemit and steemit clones. i dont really give a shit enough to hop around on multiple platforms to do things that should be able to be done on a single platform. imho that's partially why steemit and similar sites won't grow and won't gain mainstream adoption. im not a fan of facebook and i dont even have a facebook account but shit you can message people, join groups, buy stuff, post stuff, watch videos, make phone calls, message/text. you can do all this on one site. steemit has no groups no messaging. if i want to fully be a part of the community i need to join a discord group, join a telegram channel, use steemchat, use steemit. its just too fucking much. dont get me wrong i appreciate the suggestion but thats one of my beefs with this platform and any steemit clones

Good point. Steem is far away from reaching its full potential, in the future all these things will probably be possible on different - or many things in one single - Steem dApps with just one Steem login. Until there are fully integrated solutions, we depend on third-party services like Discord unfortunately

I'll admit maybe I'm being too picky, look at a site like Medium which is probably a better comparison to Steemit than Facebook a site that is much older and has had much more time to adapt. Heck when Facebook came out it was more advanced than Steemit but still pretty basic, you didn't have video calls and payments and everything else they do now.

Even with the case of Medium though which I think is a direct comparison you have an improved interface, improved search function, etc. I think just having a less shitty trending and hot section and a search function that actually worked, that alone would make this site 10000 times better

Yeah, steemit.com is shit, Steemit Inc who develops it say themselves that steemit.com is only running in "maintenance mode" now since they are focussing on Blockchain development. But luckily there are tons of great dApps built on top of Steem, check out @steempeak for example!

Haha well we wouldn't use that word a little harsh but i understand the point you're getting at ... steemit.com was a nice and needed site for it's time. And as someone who works on https://steempeak.com ... we hope we can now create a site that doesn't just make steem content creators happy but can make their viewers happy. Because we can't all just be creators we need some consumers or the creators will all leave. :)
