My wife has been trying to get a steemit account for the last week but has not got an email from steemit. Does anybody know of anyone else having this problem or how i can fix it without making another account

Took me about a week, just sent them an email and within two days I received an email back saying it was now registered, hope that helps :)
She signed up on the 25 of last month.
Did you contact support@steemit.com
My first account, I was approved right away but after losing password I waited about a week (7 days) before second was approved. Quality :)

That's strange. My wife got her account approved last night. She applied 2 days back. May be you can contact steemit support or apply for a new account.
We cant apply for a new account because the phone number has already been used.
