Well that was a rubbish nights sleep. I was plagued by a mosquito which could seemingly disappear as soon as I went for the light. The little git woke me again at 5:30, and I've been awake since. Had an hour in the pool this morning which was great, until the kids arrive. Relaxation out the window due to the constant 'noise', and I dunno, there's always that thought in the back of your mind that they are taking a leak....
Totally unrelated to this post, but ahhhh, lovely Majorca!
Anyway, enough of that, time to talk Steem.
Firstly, have you seen this on the steemit.com condenser?
I had a moan about this setting being moved and the current status of the setting not being visible during post creation last month, it seems there was enough feedback in this vain to encourage Steemit inc to make this minor change. @steemitblog have just released a new post which states further tweaks have been made. Have you found any yet?
Delegations, delegations
For about a year now, I've been lucky to receive a cheap delegation of 4000 Steem Power. For the majority of 2018, this has been loaned out for free to a variety of projects which look promising, and individuals who are working hard here, particularity with regards to engagement.
In around a month, this delegation is likely to end. And so I guess this is a message to those receiving a Steem Power delegation from myself, that I may need to rethink the numbers when the time comes. In the meantime though, and will the kindness of @fulltimegeek, @yabapmatt, and @krnel, I'll be issuing some more delegations :)
And that has started today actually, and it is down to the list I produced yesterday which unveiled some new faces to me, who are working hard with engagement and 'oiling the blockchain'. Sooo, @brittandjosie and @chireerocks, you should now have over 500 SP and have access to the illusive steemit.com slider. Well done with all your engagement so far this year!
As above, my own delegations will likely change in a month or so, and so please don't feel like I don't like you any more if my delegation is removed around this time. I'll try to contact everyone when the time comes :)
On the same subject of Steem Power delegation, I read and engaged on a post yesterday by @silentscreamer.
https://steemit.com/steemit/@silentscreamer/a-look-at-the-steemit-inc-delegation-philosophy
The post discusses the current delegations by steemit inc to the various dapps, and the lack of support to projects like openmic and curie.
@ned, your philosophy of delegating only to platforms that offer content placement while not supporting projects that offer quality content rewarding and exposure , i think, makes your philosophy lacking in results.
I understand - some of these long-standing projects are a great asset to Steem, but I feel (as in my reply), that the delegations are in the right place.
If I was to mention Steem to someone now (as I did 3 days ago), I take the route of dtube, utopian, and fundition.
Do you make videos?
Are you an open source developer?
Ahh, you run a justgiving page, check these guys out... (fundition)
vlog today. Steempress are another with a large delegation from Steemit inc / ned, and I think they fall into the same category as the other dapps, perhaps with an even greater immediate lure, as the bloggers using Wordpress need only to connect they blog to Steempress to be in with the chance of being rewarded, for what they've been doing for 'free', for years.Interestingly, @exyle touched on this subject too in his
What do you guys think about Steemit inc's delegations? Would you like to see some go to @curie and @openmic as well as, or instead of certain dapps?
Steemworld
I'd like to mention this website, cause basically, it's awesome. @steemchiller has been working his arse off recently, and has been adding new features and touches to site. For me, it's the best eyes on your account/someone else's account going right now - I use it constantly to spy on you all :P
He's running a weekly support post to fund his time, and so if you use Steemworld daily like I do, I'm sure he'd appreciate a vote:
https://steemit.com/steemworld/@steemchiller/steemworld-weekly-support-4
Witness changes / @oracle-d / @steempress
I made a couple of changes in my witness votes yesterday to support @oracle-d and @steempress, and am now at the full allocation of 30.
@steempress i've already mentioned, and so a word on @oracle-d.
We have begun this in the last week by bringing in over $200,000 worth of new investment.@oracle-d is a business initiative conceived by @starkerz and @anarcotech, which pairs content creators with investors in STEEM. Our goal is to bring multi-million dollar investment into the STEEM ecosystem by creating collaborative partnership with prominent, well-funded projects and companies, particularly those involved in the blockchain sphere.
Does that not sound shit hot?!
We go out into the business world and encourage investors to buy and hold large amounts of STEEM.
I'm sold, they have my support and I really hope they can deliver. You can read more about the launch here: https://steemit.com/oracle-d/@oracle-d/introducing-the-oracle-d-platform-now-live
And perhaps find a subject area that would be seen as a valid contribution via their website.
Lastly, a short 'me' update. I'm consuming rice and peas for the most part, had my bike stolen the other week, followed by my cash-card, and i'm currently (and very sadly) cashing out some STEEM each week to live off. Hopefully, I will not have to Power down - that would really suck.
At the same time, i'm putting a little away each day into the 'Savings' part of the wallet for Steemfest 3. Hopefully the books will balance, STEEM will hold/rise over the coming weeks and months, and i'll be set :)
Alright, that'll do for today. A bit of exercise and some food is in order.
Thanks for reading!
Asher
Absolutely I'd like to see some bigger delegations going to curation projects that foster quality content creation on Steem. Besides @curie I'd love to mention @cervantes, a team of Spanish Steem enthusiasts who're litterally giving it all and more than that to build a sustainable Spanish speaking community on Steem. They're here since the very beginning, and there is absolutely no reason to not support them in such manner.
You could set up a crowdfunding on @fundition to finance a new bike - I'd definitely support you there :-)
Big hugs!!!
Yes, and there's others like @ocd-witness - all 3 have a vote for their witness, which is supercharged by fulltimegeek right now :)
Honestly, I'd feel a bit cheeky going via @fundition - I have a spare bike :) It's not as nice but it works. You can support me here :D
Will do! :-)
I'm responding in bullets to make this comment a bit more coherent:)
Third,
Yes, definitely! I would be nice to see quality content or those who support it getting steemit delegations.
the man!!! Steemworld.org is such an invaluable resource here; good call Asher putting the shout-out to his weekly support post!@steemchiller is
I'm assuming my witness votes have changed also, thank you again for being a great proxy.
So sorry about your bike! Damn thieves. And your cash card/cashing out some STEEM; I know how much you hate to have to do that!! Brian's bike was stolen here too; we were at least able to get out for a little bike ride together because it doesn't seem to wear him out as much as walking, funny enough. He says his body doesn't hurt as much doing that. So, pretty shitty thing to happen. The thieves actually used a blow torch to knock the lock out of the metal gate because our bikes were sitting right in the stairwell.
Why just rice and peas?
I've saved the best for last and totally get staying out of the pool once the kids show up. Years ago, I'm in a public pool with a friend, and all kinds of kids. He reaches over, picks something floating up and says, "why is there Playdoh in the pool?" You guessed it...poo :)
Thanks for the bullets, I can respond like that too :D
450 - you are close, another month or so and you should be there!
It's my honor to be a proxy :) As i said, I'm not up to 30 votes and pretty happy with them - 5 more would be nice though!
I'm really glad to hear you guys can get out for a bike ride - It really clears my mind. Fortunately I have another, older bike - it's not my $1000 baby, but it will do.
It's a bit more varied than rice and peas, they are just two of the things you can pick a decent sized bag up for cheap. Pasta is also a popular one right now, and I've realised that mustard goes much further than pesto - it's a good mix!
I would be so sad to see a turd in this pool, it deserves so much better! I'm looking over my balcony at it now, I see children, but luckily no floaters!
Thanks for the reply to all topics covered, good egg :)
Ditto 😎
Damn dude, thats awfull you got your bike and cash-card stolen... They could do that too me, i dont have a bike and my cash-card has 2 bucks in it, most of my money is in cryptos :P
I need to restart watching exyle dtube videos again since he speaks so much about steem, it's hard to follow everyone I want...
Regarding the delegations, i think the way the different platforms upvote users should be checked, i've heard some people saying that some platform upvote users that create only Political correct content, which i find extremely bad since this is supposed to be a free blockchain and all types of content should be awarded, we don't want a youtube 2.0 right... this is what i heard, don't know if it's true, that's why i'm not saying any platforms, i just think each platform should be checked to see how they distribute their voting weight...
The steemit slider is awesome IMO, i have a 200 delegation and i'm now able to see the slider, and this is probably the best tool there is! When the delegation ends i'm thinking of gathering some fiat and getting some STEEM just to get the voting % option on steemit!
: )
His vids are always worth a watch I think :)
Regarding political content, there's no issue producing it, but I think it's up to the communities doing the voting to decide what to support or not.
Perhaps a 'political' community will appear and only vote this type of content :)
Truth to be told, I support their decisions or the projects they delegate to nowadays, but I'd love to see more delegations.
I'll definitely try to not sound selfish or anything right now, but literally any project out there doing work for the community deserves delegations...
deserve delegations...I mean, @curie and @openmic deserves it for sure. Even the @asapers deserves some recognition and support in my honest opinion, even though we're just a tiny curation team. You, Asher, deserves a delegation too. I could probably make a list of about 50 projects and individuals I believe truly
But I can totally understand that it might be difficult to delegate to all of them, and even if they could, it would probably be hard to figure out how much to delegate and to who. - That being said, they could definitely delegate more than they do.
Go with those 1-2 million SP delegations to the big projects like @dlive and whatever, but it wouldn't hurt to throw around some 10K, 50K or 100K delegations too.
x more than what we have today. And that's just two examples.Just imagine the impact you'd have with a delegation of 100K @abh12345. Just imagine the impact the @asapers would have with a tiny delegation of 10K. That's about 10
Yeah for sure. Many projects to choose from, but they wouldn't need 1/2 million SP to see a huge benefit for their community.
There is the https://solicitingpower.com/ website by @roelandp. I wonder if you could list @asapers on there? I put forward a small case for the Engagement league just before he released the site, and can see more scope in many of the project listed - no hard feelings there.
Good luck if you choose to get listed.
:)
Thank you for the delegation to @asapers Ash!!
My pleasure!
Exactly my point. I understand that the reward pool could be weird if they continued to delegate 500K-2 million SP to projects, but they could delegate to more projects and/or users if they delegated less amounts. - That's winning in a nutshell! :)
Thank you very much for your delegation to the @asapers and thank you for reminding me about https://solicitingpower.com/. I was supposed to list the asapers there when I first saw @roelandp post about it, but I forgot to do it. You rock! :D
My pleasure man! :D
Oracle-d has me on the edge of my seat. I am not sure what their time frames are but I heard about them yesterday and their page has been open on my browser ever since.
Also...steemworld looks really useful (not to mention cool), thanks for sharing it here. Here is what my page looks like:
PS: Man, sorry about your bike!
SORRY man, niggas stole my phone too..now i find it hard to post on steemit
Totally gutted about my bike, it was a beauty. Probably been sprayed and is half way around the island now :(
74% charged, could do with a boost into the late 80/90s ideally. Try to be strict until tomorrow :)
As i said in our discussion yesterday, that diverged slightly into "who deserves it more" my point was actually on the grounds that
Even after all the comments on the post i fail to understand why so much Steemit.inc Sp is standing idle not being used for anything. Its not being used to upvote or for delegation and i think thats a waste.
Also as you mentioned Val-a dropped delegation from Curie which i have to see as a corporate decision.
Keeping SP idle makes you think that maybe they dont think there are projects deserving of that SP on the blockchain, and my argument is that there are, and with that quite amazing ones.
Hi @silentscreamer
I enjoyed the discussion yesterday, thanks.
With regards to idle SP, I believe this is a good thing as far as the rewards pool is concerned. If all the SP was in use each day, we'd all be earning peanuts - only whale votes would be worth anything at all.
I'd like to find something to back this up with, but am heading out soon and so I hope someone else will make a comment in this regard.
The slow and steady distribution of SP in line with a rising price is a think the best way to go. Saying that, what's being used already could be shuffled into the projects discussed too.
I chose @curie over bid-bots, and wish that more would do the same.
Thanks again for your comments yesterday and today.
Yeah. Talked to Meno about the exact same thing when it comes to the reward pool but still i think that offsetting the effect of bidbots on the trending page would be worth the slightly reduced payouts.
Id be willing to take a loss if it means that the "Steemit store front" changes its appearance for the better.
Yeah, it was a nice discussion. Have a great day and thx for your help. ;)
Sadly, you cant get close to a Post stacked with Bots at present. It would take something like a 100% vote from an account with 9 million SP to top trending - unlikely :(
Front of house is a shocker at present for sure. Hopefully in time, this will change.
Cheers :)
Thank you for the update @ash12345. I really enjoyed reading your thoughts and what you are up to.
Do you actually earn interest in the 'Savings' part of the wallet?😊
Ahh good, that's 1 person at least! :)
Interest? Not any more, but you don't earn interest holding STEEM outside of the savings either. This is just a way for me to put aside a little, hopefully it will cover the trip!
Congratulations @abh12345! You have completed the following achievement on Steemit and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :

Sleep in front of a floor fan...Mozzies cant touch you, the blast from the fan batters their wings and they fall down dead..oh and stop shaving your legs, they can't get through body hair to bite...
Cant help you with bike, although surely Mallorca isnt that big!
Mix up some gravy granules and add to the rice and peas, stir in some black pepper and it tastes like a peppered steak if you close your eyes. Drop a fried egg on top if you're feeling like a fancy dan...
Any more top tips you need let me know mate...oh and let us all know when you lose the big delegation so we wont waste our time writing long comments anymore, we'll save the effort for answering 'who's going to win the premiership' type questions on musing.io. They pay up to 0.85 for a decent effort at answering!
Have a great weekend, and don't worry about the kids peeing in the pool, of course they do, but thats why god invented Chlorine :-)
If youre really stuck, grab-a-granny night after the bingo at the local Saga hotel may be a possibility......
They don't bite my legs, they go for the face and ankles the sneaky buggers!
No way? I need to get my ass over there!
Full of helpful advice Nathen, glad you stopped by - no, really!
LOL Saga hotel, must be about 5 minutes walk - I'll check standard of handbag and jewelry before approaching? :D
Joking apart, musing.io is cool. They have a manual curation team who upvote good replies, but it just needs a little effort to stop the stupid questions and the possibility of multiple account holders immediately posting and answering a question. Its a nice clean interface and DApp though, worth a look :-)
There are some nice projects at the moment but it seems a lot of people don't get wind of them, I love messing about and trying lots of DApps on the blockchain and thought I'd just about covered them all and up you pop with a load of new ones!
As for Steempress, I remain unconvinced with the principle. I think we need native content creators providing exclusive content. As I feared, there is already one user slowly dumping his wordpress back catalogue onto Steem and upvoting it to trending. As it gains momentum and wordpress users start catching on, this behaviour will only become more prevelant. Their delegation is immense, I dont know why they need such an amount and I would also love to see delegatioms being spread around more with lesser amounts. Even 25K makes a huge difference to a small dev or curation team so Id much prefer 60 deserving causes got 25k than one DApp getting 1.5mil.
It's on my list to check out for sure, just need to invent a few more hours into the day :)
I agree that dumping a back catalog is not what we want, but for folks who are creating new content on Wordpress, this is really cool for them.
And yeah, sharing out the delegations seems to be the popular choice. I guess it's more of a pain to monitor, but that's what certain people like to do, and perhaps they could be rewarded for keeping an eye out.
"the view," from your vantage point. Much appreciated!Good morning @abh12345. Thank you for the great post about
Very sorry to hear of the personal challenges, as well, and hoping that gets turned around for you quickly. Sounds like your location has a bit of a crime problem, so hopefully the local authorities are hard at work bringing under control ...
Have a great swim in that beautiful setting! And keep up the great work!!
Upvoted and resteemed.
Hi @roleerob, thanks for having a read. I try to condense the Steem stuff into a post now and then, although it's not happened in a little while.
Petty crimes do seem to be popular (using myself as an example only!) but I think generally the place is safe. I am much more careful where I leave my new(older) bike, which is in itself, much less appealing than the other. I also have a couple of locks on it now. It's frustrating when you see bikes locked up with what looks like a piece of string - my original lock had served me well for many years!
I've just got back from an evening dip in the pool, much better. Cheers!
Asher! lovely updates. I can always count on knowing the most recent Steem news once I've thoroughly visited your profile!! Thanks :) Looking more into Oracle-d right now! Thoroughly hot shit!! <3
And sorry to hear about your bike! That's a bummer! Hope things turn up for you and the price of Steem soon!
Thank you :)
Yes it was a real bummer re: my bike, I'd brought it from the UK and it's likely one of a kind here - now resprayed and in another part of the island!
oracle-d has great potential - fingers crossed!
I can see why SteemInc supports the dapps. They are what they're wanting to encourage and build. The community themselves are wanting the community support, so that needs to come from the community, as harsh as that sounds.
The Steem blockchain was created as a base to attach or support 100s of dapps. That's still a work in progress so they'll want to let developers know that they are willing to support them.
I completely agree, and replied with the same on the post I referenced above with the same. It's on us to support the communities, that will come naturally if they are of interest to us.
Thanks for your comments, sorry for the delayed response!
Enjoy the rest of the day, looks like it is beautiful there. The @oracle-d project sounds like something that could have a huge impact over time. Thanks for the info I will definitely go over and check that out. Even us tiny players need to stay informed. I always have a Steamworld tab open and check in multiple times a day. I need to go over and visit @steemchiller to show some appreciation. Thanks for the reminder.
Yes they could bring home the bacon big style, fingers crossed!
Cracking weather right now, I should be outside. Cheers!
I think delegations should still be made to accounts such as Curie and open mic since they help nourish a LOT of people. It’s easy to give up when you’re small and to get traction, these accounts help people in that situation
Yeah it seems that's the general feeling of many. They wouldn't need an epic delegation, but a 200/400k boost would be really great.
It would make a huge difference for sure !
Hi Asher. At least you won't be at risk now and can walk everywhere with your lilo. Bit shitty that and your cash card. Maybe it will help you save more.
Well, I do have another bike. It's nothing like my old one but makes visits to places much easier - without the lilo of course! :D
Can't save if there's nothing there to hold onto eh!
Ugh, I'm sorry about your troubles there at the end; I thankfully haven't had anything stolen but after selling off what's left in my Coinbase to hopefully top off rent, cat food, and a few groceries for me, I hope? - I'm just doing the "it'll all work out alright in the end," "...How will it?" "I don't know, it's a mystery!"
My coinbase is looking a little sad too!
Fingers-crossed with your approach, it's one I adopt also :)
Hey Asher! Lotsa business as usual. Enjoy your swim & food. Maybe you'll get a mosquito free nap later on.
Always :)
I certainly will, my stomach is starting to ache! Thank you!
Oh CONGRATULATIONS to @brittandjosie and @chireerocks!!!
HOW wonderful for you both!!!
OMG Thanks for the congrats , this is such a big surprise and help I never ever had expected.
I must admit to not interacting with either of them previously, but a look at their engagement and accounts in general, I think they are very deserved of a little boost to 500.
Cheers Dawne!
@chireerocks I am familiar with as they are a member of @qurator and I just did up the newsletter early this morning for today and featured him in it... ironic we're on the same wave length to mention the same steemian on the same day! lol
Engagement, consistency and being visible to ALL is so important.. I think you made perfect choices! I'll definitely be checking out brittandjosie now too
What a good day for them then! And of course for us, for finding them :D
Hey Asher, ty for the update. Steemworld is great for sure, and I personally would appreciate it A LOT if steemit.inc would start delegating to curie and the like.
Have a nice holiday (and maybe get yourself a mosquito net)!
I think many feel the same. Would also be cool for the people to lead by example and do likewise.
It's just the occasional mozzy, a net would be overkill I think! Cheers!
Oh, the dreaded invisible nighttime mosquito! As for your bike and the rice and peas thing, I hope Steem goes up and things get easier. Yes to Steemworld being awesome, and thanks for the head's up about @oracle-d. That's a great idea! I hope to see more people investing and holding Steem!
I really hate them. What is the purpose of your existence damn mosquito damn it! :D
Yes same, STEEM is looking brighter this week, perhaps finally turning around after 6 months of down down down!
@oracle-d does look pretty hot, let's see what they can do. Cheers!
No, not yet. Perhaps I am just blind? I feel you. We are eating rice and beans for now. Time is coming for another supply run. Thank goodness for the garden but our second crop isn't big enough to eat yet...
A garden full of veggies would be really great right now! They are reasonably cheap here, but yeah... it's no homegrown business!
I hope the weather suits and you gather a good harvest when the time comes :)
We hope so too! Thanks, Asher!
Bummer on the bike - for sure. And take it easy on the kids - you were one too at one point LOL Urine is sterile - no worries 😂
Hope you get to go to Steemfest - I can only dream...
And Steemworld is the best!!!
Well, I think you know how I feel about the delegation. In principal, if the apps would spread their vote around, it wouldn't be so bad. But they seem to pretty much upvote the same few most of the time...
Yes it was a bummer, but i'm over it now - at least I have something to travel on, even if it's not my shiny one from the UK.
With regards to the apps, I guess we just have to try to get involved with one that has a nice delegation. I have been fortunate with utopian-io, and am aware it's not everyone's cup of tea.
Anyone can make a video though I guess :)
True, but D-Tube takes an additional 25 % and their votes seem to go to the same circle of favorites. So, the small fish gets even less from their tiny little payout...
Dlive is a bit better and more reliable too. I don't think that they have quite the same size delegation...
https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@silentscreamer/earning-potential-analysis-for-curator-author-on-all-audio-video-dapps-on-the-steem-blockchain
There's some info in this post regarding the 25% and the delegation size. The 25% is returned to the curators (via wallet sends), and dlive actually owns a little more SP :)
good to know :) thank you.
So sorry about the bike and cash-cards. I'm a newbie.. what I read here is something like "alien talks" to me.. but I am eager to learn and follow the news because I bought some steem too (nothing to compare with others, it's a dust) I always thinking that delegation as debt that I need to pay with my hard work, delegation means investment and no investor woul like to invest in a not-profitable business. Something ironic and contrary to the spirit of building the communities, IMO.
Thanks for sharing... aahh no tabels this time.
I would not look at is a debt in all cases. If you pay for it then yes, but I like to offer delegations out for free, and demand nothing other than the delegatee continues as they are :)
You're an exceptional😉 with some other people who delegate SP for free, but still.. look at the fact on things you mentioned above😊 in my limited language ability to understand.. something needs to change, right?
I'm sorry you're having a rough go of it personally right now. That sucks your bike and cash card got stolen. #timeforaswim indeed.
I don't currently have a delegation from you, but thank you again for the generous delegation that you gave me for a few months while I was working towards 500SP. It meant a lot and encouraged me to get their on my own... without self-voting. So I had to work harder.
I have given up on Ned "doing the right thing" or even paying attention to Steemit, so I just do the best I can with what I have. I don't feel like Ned gives a crap about Steemit. He already got his millions, so why worry about it?
This is still a fun place to hang with friends and read about things you might not otherwise get to see. You can also get rewarded for writing your own content, so we shouldn't complain too much, even if things aren't perfect.
I hope things get better for you soon!
#timeforaswim yes. Really good for the soul i find, and I'm looking quite trim at present too :)
No worries re: the past delegation, I'd love to have them stand for longer!
Ned takes some flack, some of it could be justified, but i think that he does have a plan here, even if progress can seem slow at times. Until SMT are released, I'm going to reserve judgement.
And yes exactly, there are many positives at present - who wouldn't like $5/$10 STEEM. We're still here :)
Cheers!
Yeah, progress can be really slow, but hopefully the master plan starts getting revealed and it helps us all move onward and upward.
I wouldn't mind the purchasing power from $5/$10 Steem. The rewards wouldn't be great though. That would be difficult to deal with. Still, at some point, the price has to go up. Otherwise, it's likely to die eventually.
The rewards at 5/10 Steem suited me, the only issue being the money grabbers coming back with their piss-poor content, and 'only' vested Steem power to promote themselves. Proof of stake we are though 😊
Any time the money comes in, so do the money grabbers. It's disappointing, but it's something that we can expect. If we get a solid, healthy community going, then we'll be able to survive/thrive despite them.
Yes for sure. It is my hope that those of us who are here through the quiet times benefit when the next upwards move arrives, and that it's not just the ones that appear at the same time.
Dear Asher,
Thank you for this huge compliment and power support ! And even now When your bike and stuffs been stolen 🤨 I have to catch My breath and go on with My New slider 🎉🎉👍 if I can ever do steemthing for you I am in Rotterdam, not so far from sunny Majorca ..... again a big Thank you and I am steeming on !
It is my pleasure :)
I hear Rotterdamn is baking hot right now, perhaps even more so than here!
All you need to do is carry on as you are, that will be good enough for me. Have a lovely weekend!
Its the hottest day since 2003 its surreal eve the dogs want to stay inside ! But not complaing!
See you around
Am so sorry about your bike Asher..was it insured?
Basics simply tells me that retention needed to be solved, the same problem that the platform have had since 2017.
With the delegation issue, depends on what the aim is...
Right now, most people are again will rather do something more productive with their time than earn 1 sbd...for some that's even difficult to get.
Personally, delegations to curation groups is necessary first to retain users to use those dapps and together can reward those deserving and are still here.
Thank you :)
No, only the apartment contents are insured, silly me :(
This is true. For many the time spent here is really not worth it financially, and I guess that is unlikely to change for the vast majority.
It seems most people agree that a mix of delegations between the curation groups and the dapps would work best.
I can only base my experience with @bayanihan with a 15k delegation. A 100% upvote is about 4sbd each for our featured 5 posts in 24 hrs. The rest we upvote 20% to some quality posts daily...in saying this...some no longer make an effort to create good ones.
With so many curation groups who are trying to reward deservings authors...there's no SP to fully do this...the reason of wanting a balance on delegations. So both would be better yeah.
This is a common issue, I think sndbox suffer from this slightly, but then again they also manually curate and have voting % bands - including no votes for no effort I hope!
Ours was solved..i can't speak for other curation groups. There is upvote for upvote that's happening to those with no SP or less SP groups. Quality is shiite..so how to solve that I dunno..there are a few of them nowadays. And uncontrollable. Heaven forbid that they will be given delegations.

No matter it's for one day or one month, thank you so much for Delegating me and it's an kind gesture.
Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂
It is my pleasure, I hope it benefits both you and your community :)
Yes for sure. 🙂
I think it is time for @ned to try once again delegating a little bit to content producers like he did a almost two years ago. I know he probably feels like some of that backfired on him, and a lot of accusations were flying, and a little bit of abuse going on with the delegations. I think a couple dozen delegations of 10,000SP, (a very minor drop in his bucket), to place and people that support steemit's social side, and to help onboard open eye's about Communities. I myself know of three or four accounts that would do well the delegation.
Steemworld is the most awesome tool out there for looking at and keeping updated on your account, and peeking at other accounts, I certainly do like it. I saw the oracle-d post and it does look very promising. Steempress I think has hit on a vast untapped market, that will certainly benefit steem in the long term.
I guess thieves are in every part of the world.
The 500k delegations to single person accounts were certainly eye-brow raising, and the stats from these accounts didn't look that great.
If delegations like this were to happen in the future, I would hope that 'watchers' were assigned to keep tabs, in the hope that the accounts with the delegation were using it 'properly'.
The artificial Whale creations did not work out to well for him, I think an artificial Dolphin creation could have better response, and be spread a bit wider. I look at people like you, paulag, tcpolymath, thedarkhorse, and davemccoy, what you all, and a few others are doing "Community Wise". 10,000SP would be a big help for all of you, and I know there are other people and projects out there that are trying to help new users, and small users out.
Maybe @ned will give it a try one of these days again, only this time with a few strings attached. He must see that retention rates need to be increased, and that there are people working either intentionally on retention, or having retention rates increased as a side benefit of what they are doing.
That would be a cool experiment. Create 50 dolphins and see how the community feel rises - I expect it would be a huge moral boost for many.
The strings could be a weekly report and some checkups by myself and others, to ensure the votes are not circular or on self. Fingers crossed, although I'm not holding my breath.
Not likely to happen, although the subject could be broached at the steemfest3 meetup, the steem blockchain is pretty firm, but steemit is changing and adapting to become a very real global meeting place. Stemit is decentralized and open enough that it is no longer just another American Product seeking global domination like facebook, google, apple, and microsoft. There are already multinational teams of people helping each other create.
Such a funny start .... and then the bad ending! Sorry about your bike! No wonder you are day dreaming about Majorca. Interesting to see that there has been some tweaking in SteemLand
Thank you :)
