WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE: THE DISPARITY The word ''Knowledge'' is from the prefix ''know''. Knowledge is when one has access to information. That's knowing Something. When one doesn't know a thing, that means that person is ignorant of an existence but not foolish. If you don't know, it doesn't make you foolish. An ignorant man never saw or heard it. That's why people say 'he ignored me', that means there was no knowledge of your existence, either by pretence or otherwise. Therefore, opposite of Knowledge is Ignorance On the other hand, Wisdom is the physical application of knowledge for beneficial results or for something beneficial. If you are or were ignorant and suddenly, your are or were made to know(have knowledge about), you make good use of what you just been made known to, to produce tangible results. That is Wisdom. You are Wise. Wisdom is making available tangible results with the available means. You're wise because you didn't just know(have knowledge about) but able to produce tangible results from what you've known. When you're foolish is when you know that thing but can not know how to practically put to use what you've known to produce something tangible. A foolish man knows that there's trouble ahead and still walks into it. When u don't know it, you're ignorant and not foolish. But, you're a fool when you know it and do nothing about it. Therefore, Wisdom is quite different from Knowledge as Foolishness Is different from Ignorance. N/B Foolishness is the opposite of Wisdom and Knowledge is the opposite of Ignorance. This is Christmas and you know it. Do something nice to somebody not to be a fool. Put a smile on a face.
