It has been disclosed how the Gunners came about appointing the Spaniard in the first place in the light of recent speculations about Unai Emery's future.
When the club were looking for a replacement for Arsene Wenger, it is claimed in a report from The Athletic that Massimiliano Allegri, Mikel Arteta and Unai Emery made up a three-man shortlist.
After facts that emerged from social media about the appointment, it is very clear to see that Arteta is a popular choice with these Arsenal fans on social media.
Not only is he highly thought of among the club’s fan base, but a developing and well-respected coach too.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal would be willing to hand him such a job without any experience, but it’s unlikely his name is one that is going to go away anytime soon.
