The Arsenal gives a victory to Arsene Wenger in his farewell to the Emirates

The Gunners thrashed Burnley 5-0 at the French coach's farewell after 22 years in charge of the London team.

Arsenal gave Burnley (5-0) a win against his coach, Frenchman Arsene Wenger, honored by both teams and fans in his last match as a gunner at Etihad Stadium.

Before the start of the clash, the French coach, who will say goodbye to Arsenal after 22 years, broke into the field of play through the middle of a hall formed by local footballers and visitors.

The Arsenal paid tribute also on the lawn. He left aside the elimination in the semifinal of the Europa League against Atlético Madrid and focused on the farewell of his legendary coach.

He said goodbye to the Gunner stadium with a win against the revelation team of the course, Burnley, who could do nothing against the local superiority.

Two of the goals were from Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who opened and closed the scoring. Among his goals, those of the French Alexander Lacazette, the Bosnian Sead Kolasinac and that of the Nigerian Alex Iwobi.

After the meeting, Wenger's countdown began. Bob Wilson, exporter of the club, and Pat Rice, ex-player and assistant coach, gave Wenger a replica of the trophy that Arsenal received during the season of The Invincibles.

Both, microphone in hand, had words of thanks for the French coach who, excited, addressed the club and the public. But he started his speech with an allusion to Sir Alex Ferguson, to whom I wish a speedy recovery.
