Started a New Account

in #splinterlandslast year

Got some friends who tried the game but got disheartened because they kept getting rekt in Bronze (most likely by bots).

I want to teach them but I'm not really familiar with the Bronze meta, and I'm not even sure how I'll do against bots lol.

So I thought of starting a new account which I would play manually (no bot or helper). I currently use XBOT (including BH) in my other accounts. But I think the times are changing and who knows maybe they stop the bots altogether even in wild. So it's probably good to start learning the game again lol

I will keep a journal of my progress and maybe write an overview of my rewards at the end of the season.

My IGN is "Tambay".

I will start with the 3,000 credits I got from buying the $10 spellbook. I will use this to rent cards.

I also have 11 Chaos Legion packs which I bought from some of the earnings in the Golem game. I will open them once I get enough potions.

I have spent 1 DEC so far. It was the entry free for the Splinterlands: Ladder of Trials Diamond Tournament.

I wasn't able to join the other Ghost tournaments because my account verification was delayed. Anyway, I won 260 SPS in that tournament. I guess that's not too bad for a manual player, esp considering the top 2 players (and maybe a lot more) in that tournament used a battle helper. I don't have a strong opinion about BH. I use it too (not in this tourna) but I think there really should be a separate no-BH, no-Bot place in the game. That seems impossible but who knows?

Anyway, I will stake that 260 SPS so I can have a boost in my earnings. Not going after SPS rewards because it's shit in Bronze lol, but hopefully I get some decent SB cards.

Anyway, it looks like when you start a new account, you get to fight Splinterlands bots. Their names start with "SLBB" and I think they are programmed to lose lol.

When I got to Bronze I received these notifications:

It's been a long time since I played in Novice/Bronze so I don't remember these notifications. But I think it's good because new players can then click on the links to learn more about the game.

Anyway, that's it for now. Hopefully I can post updates frequently XD
