As you might know, the Splinterlands team is doing a lot of effort to attract new players to the game. In this Community Engagement Challenge, we have been asked to prepare a post about the new Ambassador Referral Program. What is the new Ambassador Program?

It is very simple to understand what the new Ambassador Program is. The Ambassador Program allows players to earn rewards by introducing players to Splinterlands. A replacement for the former Affiliate Program, the Ambassador Program is loosely based on a passed proposal. Just for your information, The Ambassador Program went live on December 10th, 2024.

Yes, there are big differences between the older Affiliate program and the new one, that we are going to be describing in this post.

Overview of the new Ambassador Program

The idea of this new Ambassador Program is the TRIPLE W: WIN-WIN-WIN. This means, that Splinterlands WINS, YOU WIN and the NEW PLAYER WINS. As simple as that. Having a deeper look at the new program, there are 2 Tiers, SILVER and GOLD Tiers and this is what you get from:

Silver Tier: Refer at least 1 friend

• You and your friends each earn 500 Credits when they purchase a Spellbook. Referrals must use a referral link to be eligible.

• Earn 5% of your friends’ end-of-season Glint rewards. Up to 100% of your end-of-season Glint rewards.

• You must earn EOS Glint in order to earn Glint from referrals.

Gold Tier: 10 referrals who have at least $100 in purchases (via primary, secondary, or rental markets). This includes purchases and rentals made in-game and on supported third-party websites.

Benefits include everything in Silver, plus:

• Earn a 5% bonus (paid in DEC) for all packs your friends purchase (from the most recent set purchased from the in-game shop).
• Earn 1% of your friends’ transactions on peer-to-peer markets.
• The minimum payout is 0.001 DEC* per transaction (smaller amounts are rounded to zero).

What happened to my old referrals?

Per the passed proposal, all referrals attained prior to this proposal were wiped. Only new referrals will earn rewards via the Ambassador Program.

Benefits and Opportunities for Ambassadors

As per above, I consider this new Ambassador Program as a 3W. Splinterlands wins, as all players should try to catch new players to the game. The player that catches new players, as there are a lot of benefits described above. Just by inspiring a friend or someone from all over the world, you will see benefits. And also the new player will see benefits.

It has been an excellent proposal that has been implemented to keep refining the Splinterlands Universum!

How to participate in the new Ambassador Program?

This is the key part you need to understand, so you can share with the rest of the world and also get the benefits that the Splinterlands team is proposing.

Steps for Taking Part in the Program
Getting started with the Ambassador Program is simple:

1. Log in to Splinterlands: Use the account you wish to associate with your referral activities.

2. Access your referral link:

3. Click your username in the top-right corner.

4.Copy your Ambassadir link and share it with the world.

This is the key part of the program, we need to be as proactive as possible and share it with the rest of world, so people get the attraction to play the game.

How can I be a good SPLINTERLANDS Ambassador?

There are some key aspects I am going to consider and lets see if I can get at least 1 new player into the game:

1. Be proactive, be yourself: Splinterlands has identified a key activity to keep growing. It has been difficult in the past, that is why we need to keep pushing and being proactive, but without loosing our essence. Keep sharing these challenges on social media, keep talking about Splinterlands with friends and others. We SPLINTERLANDs player know it is a good game, we just need to let the world know about it🙌.

2. Engage your audience: There is always a possibility to host events or challenges on platforms like X, Youtube or Twitch to attract new player. This first option isn´t so much for me, but there are really big Splinterlands players that have a big audience like @aftersound, @infidel1258 or @bulldog that could grab my idea 🤓.

3. Provide support: Not only to your potential referrals, but also to anyone you see asking for support on the different medias like X, PeakD or Youtube comments. One of the strongest thing SPLINTERLANDS has is the community. We need to keep helping others to success🤝.

As you have seen above, new times for SPLINTERLANDS are coming and if we all players take the New Ambassador Program seriously, we could be able to attract new players and benefit all. It is a unique game and we need to show the rest of the world what SPLINTERLANDS has achieved. Not only as a game, but also as a COMMUNITY!
