The mower comes with a 4 amp battery and the trimmer has a 2 amp one. They make a 5 amp one you can get too. I doubt I will ever need that. You can really easily swap them out and charge them fast. I wasn't sure it would cut the tall grass but it did great. I think the newer batteries are much better than the older ones.
