BEWARE OF THE SLACK BOT!!!

While my concerns in this post are real, the above picture is for amusement only. Please dont sue :)

Several Script kiddies are sending out malicious Slack Bot mails on a daily basis, I know that I am a little late on this (:D) but I just received another one, showing "www.myetherwallet.com" as clickable link, when in fact you will get to "myetherwalliet dot com slash whatever".

This is happening for a long time now and Slack doesn't seem to get any control of this. I really don't get how serious developers can still use this platform, I imagine millions being scammed already with this simple trick.

It might be better to turn off the Slack bot completely or even avoiding the whole platform until this is solved. I never experienced that on Discord.

Often you can check the real URL by hovering over the link. And don't ever visit sites you dont know! Especially not crypto related stuff! Using the WOT score extension available for your browser should help to create another sense of (false) security to prevent from scams.

Although nothing is secure and others might experience similar problems, I hope that Slack will implement mecahnics to prevent this from happening (so easily) in the future. A lot of trust must have been destroyed and it should be in the best interest of Slack to regain it.

Good day ya'll,
