You might have heard about Elon Musk. He is definitely a person who I would look up to. He is crazy but that is awesome. He created Paypal, a secure payment gateway for internet, he created electric cars via Tesla, He wants cheaper interplanetary transportation, SpaceX is there. On Feb 06, they tested Falcon Heavy. They sent a Red Tesla Car as a load to the space (That was the most stunning marketing stunt in ages, I loved it). If I had to work somewhere of for someone, it would be Tesla, SpaceX and Elon Musk.
But if you read a little more about Tesla, their number don't look that great. Some of the articles even say that Tesla loses money on every car they sell. But Tesla is still worth more than Ford on the market. I think, people have confidence in Elon Musk's futuristic approach and their innovation will pay off one day.
Apple, on the other hand is a technological advanced company with a hell lot of financial stability.
If you go not far behind, you would remember a guy name Steve Jobs. Hell of a person. An ideal I would say. He created it from scratch. He made the company what it is today. And it is not something I am saying because I idealize that person. It is the facts and figures. Check the Apple era when Steve Jobs was terminated from his own company. And then also read about why he was brought back. It was because Apple couldn't innovate anymore. The number looked bad on the big screens for the share holders and the management had no idea what to do. Steve Jobs saved them by introducing iPod, iPad, iPhone, iWatch. Unfortunately, Steve Jobs is not with us anymore and we have seen with the last iPhone releases that the innovation is gone with him.
So, Apple has loads and loads of money but now they don't know how to spend it and how to envision the future. On the other hand, Elon Musk has one of the finest (i would say) R&D team and their innovations doesn't need marketing but they lack the financial stability. Apple can seize this opportunity. Consider this. Buy Tesla, add another product line (or a whole new industry) to your list and ask Elon Musk to lead the way to the future. That wouldn't be a bad deal for Apple (not so much sure for Tesla). I am pretty sure that Elon Musk can save Apple the same way as Steve Jobs.
Conclusion:
I would oppose my own thoughts. I would never want Elon Musk to lead Apple. Call me narrow minded or lacking vision. Apple has become a technological giant but its approach is more of capitalistic. Elon Musk is doing everything to save humanity, save earth resources, think of the greater good. That doesn't go very well with the Apple approach. Not parallel. Not aligned.
So my vote is against my thought that Elon Musk should be the CEO of Apple.
