Did Tesla Really Envisioned Drone Warfare Nearly 120 Years Ago??

in #science8 years ago

Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest minds in history. Even after his death, he still finds the way to prove that he was truly a man ahead of his time, this time he's being credited for machines that can be controlled remotely in his patent called Method of and Apparatus For Controlling Mechanisms of Moving Vessels or Vehicles.

Tesla states in his patent that these machines can be used for “communication with inaccessible regions and exploring the conditions existing in the same,as well as scientific, engineering, or commercial purposes; but the great value of my invention will result from its effect upon warfare." The more i read it, the more it sounds like the things drones do today and eventually will do. So be prepared for the Drone Wars.

Incredible guy with an incredible mind! I seriously wonder what he would be envisaging if he were around today!

He would not only envisage, but create the real future. Not like the BS future with "flying cars and trips to mars"we were promised..

Funnily enough I watched "The Island" again the other night filmed in 2005 and set in 2015, had some very cool jet bikes flying around in it during one of the chase scenes, yet to see those make it the the real world! :(

He invisioned a free world. But we are atupid to do anything about it

A true genius the only cared about the welfare of humanity

Him and Leonardo Da Vinci would be the two people I would love to meet and have a conversation with.

That would be EPIC!
