Hi Lily, thanks for dropping by. Yes, knowing the mechanisms of how certain diseases occur gives me a better understanding about the management of that disease. So I always try to find out the mechanisms of the diseases wherever I can instead of just memorizing.

I just read you post on coarctation of aorta. You wrote the actual disease pretty nicely. Maybe a couple of pictures explaining the two different types will make things much easier for more of your readers to understand, because we must remember that lot of our readers might not be medical students or doctors to understand all the terms we use.
