Theme: «What we all want God to tell us»
Text: 2 Chronicles 1: 7
"And that night God appeared to Solomon and said: Ask me what you want me to give you."
It is impressive the question that God asks a Solomon son of man that was according to the heart of Jehovah, that is his servant David.
Source
After Solomon established his kingdom, he summoned all the leaders of the people and Solomon went up before Jehovah on the bronze altar that was in the Tent of Meeting and offered a thousand burnt offerings.
It is to be noticed that the question that God asks of Solomon does not come from nothing, but is the result of something impressive that Solomon with all his heart was doing before Him.
A Holocaust is a perfect and pleasing sacrifice before God as long as the intention of the heart is sincere and that is something that God does not miss.
To be honest, I think we all want God to tell us: "What do you want me to give you?", I ask you: What would you ask of God ?, Some of us might ask him for an anointing so strong that even the trees could not stand in front of us, others might ask him to give us the gift of healing, to touch the sick and to be healthy, others might ask him to give us the greatest possible courage to preach and be the best preachers, more than any boy I asked him to give the most beautiful woman in the universe, but I want to tell you that my wife has already married me. Well the truth is that we all have thousands of things to ask for, from spiritual things to material things.
But if for a moment we meditate on what Solomon asked, we would realize that the beginning of everything we may need or want to ask for is found in wisdom, but not in any wisdom, but in the wisdom that comes from above.
Why is the principle ?, Because it depends on everything good or bad that we can experience, since depending on the wisdom we have so will also be our actions in life in all areas.
How nice it was that all of us before asking something from God gave our life in perfect holocaust before Him, that is to say lead a pleasant life that is equivalent to the thousand holocausts that Solomon offered.
Is it so difficult to please God ?, I am sure not, everything depends on the disposition that is in our heart and the wisdom that we acquire from God when we look for it in prayer and read it in its sacred scriptures.
God can give you what you want, but what are you giving to Him?
The Bible says that God honors those who honor them and it is obvious that if we want to receive from God we should also give it.
Thanks for sharing @susanalara
God is God of complacency when we delight in him, yet he asks us to keep his word and so we can ask for anything according to his will.
The answer will depend on whether it suits us or not to respond to a specific request.
God bless you @susanalara
