Like all living beings, we like to communicate with other people, ask for help when necessary and provide support if you can do it, in total, we are communicative beings.
In our daily life, we use many means of communication to carry an indeterminate message, but in our spiritual life we have a special way of communicating with God, and that is prayer.
To pray means to speak with God, that direct line that exists to approach Him every day.
Philippians 4: 6-7
Don't worry about anything; rather, on each occasion, with prayer and supplication, present your requests to God and thank Him. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will take care of their hearts and their thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Prayer not only serves as a direct line to talk to God, it is the means by which God blesses us as his children that we are, who only wants good for his children and therefore asks us to communicate more with Him.
This direct line of communication brings benefits:
- We recognize that God exists: when we talk to God, we not only surrender to his feet, but the Father listens to each of us and receives good gifts from God.
1 John 5:14
This is the confidence we have when approaching God: that if we ask according to his will, he hears us.
- He approaches his people: when we talk to the Father and give ourselves to him with all our problems, he cleanses us and leads us to his true path, helps us to be better children and uses us according to his will.
Psalm 145: 18
The Lord is close to those who invoke him, to those who really invoke him.
- We get the victory: this line makes us bigger and stronger, we have the happiness of being children of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, therefore, we can say that "on our knees we are bigger and stronger", only We still have Thanking the Father because he has already fulfilled our requests.
1 John 5:15
And if we know that God hears all our prayers, we can be sure that we already have what we ask.
In conclusion, prayer is a direct line that helps us to communicate with God, through it we can approach the Father and win our battles, never forget that "OF THE KNEES WE ARE BIGGER AND STRONGER".
