When I got to the shelter today I was told that somebody will be fostering Dia! This is such great news and we are all hoping that it will turn into a fostering fail in a way that they will fall in love with her and fully adopt her.
Dia is a Philippine Witch Dog which is characterized by the brown colored fur with stripes that kinda makes them look like a tiger dog. I'm still perplexed why the Filipino name is Asong Gubat which translates into Forest Dog. Personally I think Witch dog kicks ass as a name.
She is kinda aloof from other dogs and likes to be solitary on one side or snuggling up to her handler.
I was handling Happy today which seems to be a mix of a Japanese Spitz and aspin who got rescued from a puppy mill who neglected her.
She likes playing with toys, would brush against your legs and plops down for a belly rub. Oh and she likes climbing tables hence she is Happy the table dog 🤣
Here are the rest of the pack waiting for treats to be given and for toys to be played with.
Mate that wonderful news and such a fantastic cause to be involved in. Animals are so good for mental health.
Hope you're doing well and have a great weekend :-)
Hey Nathen! Yeah I started volunteering and walking them to help me get moving and have a purpose in waking up early and physically doing something.
Mentally they are a huge boost and helping me cope. Aside from I really like dogs :) Thanks for dropping by and the boost!
Did is like our dog in school. They have the same color. ☺️
What's his breed?
