Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin clarified about 200 names of mubalig or preachers released by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. He explained, this is reaping the polemic because the parties have not fully understand the background information released by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
"Release of 200 names is actually an inseparable part of the news that we sent down by the Ministry of Religious Affairs where in the news actually contains about the background of how the process of getting the name of the name? Then why the number 200? Why are people like that? we firmly explain that the nature of this release is essentially temporary, "said Lukman during a meeting with Commission VIII at the DPR building, Senayan, South Jakarta, Thursday (5/24/2018).
According to him, the release of 200 mubalig names is the first phase to be updated and refined along with input from Islamic organizations and other parties to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
"Because in that news we also include our contact number in the form of WhatsApp to also we can receive feedback on the release that we issued. So as a call center so that the public can respond to 200 mubalig maybe there are who want to add, objection," said Lukman.
However, Kemenag realized and understood if the public then only see the title of the release without reading the explanation of the news so that many interpretations arise.
Kemenag has also conveyed this to the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). MUI has also held a meeting by inviting a number of organizations to explore and scrutinize the 200 names.
"Of course there are many interpretations, such as input and even criticism, why there are ulama who are not there, which is not known there, because we can be from a number of organizations, learn from the input and criticism from some circles. receive a lot of input, even more than 200 names of mubalig it's all good first release, we convey to MUI, "said Lukman.
Appreciation
Member of Commission VIII from the PAN fraction Yandri Susanto appreciated Lukman's attitude that has apologized to the public. However, he asked Kemenag to revoke the release.
"Father has apologized, good sir, but do not continue, sir," Yandri said in the meeting.
He also does not want the Ministry of Religion to be a superior institution that can classify the clerical figure is good or bad.
"So my advice Mr. Minister just end it, and all the misunderstanding of it all," said Yandri.
