Blog - Trading In Regidrago VSTAR Pokemon Cards For A Good Amount

in #regidrago7 days ago

Hi there. In this Pokemon TCG post I share a story & experience where I trade in Regidrago V & VSTAR cards for a good amount.

I type this out in early August 2024. This post will be out in September 2024.

The Regidrago V & VSTAR Cards & Its Popularity

Around late July 2024 and early August 2024 Regidrago VSTAR decks have seen a huge rise in popularity and competitive playability. In the past around late 2024 and early 2024 Regidrago VSTAR decks were considered to be rogue decks that can cause upsets here and there but were considered inconsistent. With Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, Energy Switch, and Kyurem from Shrouded Fable, Regidrago decks are easier and faster to setup. As Regidrago VSTAR can use different attacks from Dragon Pokemon from the discard, Regidrago VSTAR can attack opponents in different ways.

The Different Dragon Attackers

Regidrago VSTAR copies attacks from Dragon Pokemon from the discard pile. Here are some of the popular ones.

Going To The Toronto Store

I did have Teal Mask Ogerpon ex to really work with and I did not plan to play Regidrago VSTAR. It made sense to me to sell my 3 copies of Regidrago V and 3 copies of Regidrago VSTAR. Sell when the deck is super hyped days before the World Championships in Pokemon. I don't play competitively as it is a bit of grind, it takes too much time and money for my liking. I do follow some of the metagame though.

I bought my Regidrago VSTARs for 1 CAD each I think. The Basic Regidrago Vs were bought around 2 CAD each. When I sold the cards during my Toronto visit to Banana Games I got a trade-in value of 50 CAD total. Wow. It was 15 CAD for each Regidrago VSTAR and 5 CAD for the 3 Regidrago Vs. My estimated buy amount was about 8 for the 6 cards and sold for 50 CAD. A very good return lol. Plus I played a bit of the cards too. The cards were in good playable condition.

With some of the trade in funds I got a Pidgeot ex and one ACE SPEC Maximum Belt. That came to 20 CAD for the Pidgeot ex and 5 for the Maximum Belt. Pidgeot ex is very playable these days and got expensive as of late. It used to be 8 CAD but it is now 20 CAD at least for that store.

In the Pokemon TCG market you can still do a buy low sell high strategy. I follow more of the competitive scene so I have a good idea of the market price of playable cards.
