I hate to keep writing about politics as it's exhausting, but I just saw Former Rep. Matt Gaetz joined Cameo Friday. For those that don't know Cameo is a personalized video platform and Gaetz joining comes the day after he withdrew his name from consideration for attorney general.

The former congressman is offering personalized roasts, pep talks, or special occasion videos at the starting cost of $525. Once a customer orders a video, they are free to share the video publicly. Gaetz already delivered a videos to a customers. So far eight customers have left five-star reviews.

Add this to all the other political news and I'm getting a dystopian feeling more than ever. This dystopia is rooted in a combination of factors such social, economic, political, and cultural that are filling me with a growing sense of disillusionment and fear about the future.

U.S. politics has become increasingly polarized, with deep divisions between political parties, and even within them. The rise of identity politics, where people see political affiliation as closely tied to personal identity, has created an environment of intense "us vs. them" mentality. The MAGA movement has capitalized on the idea which has paid off big in the recent election. They were able to somehow capitalize on the economic disparity, with the wealthiest Americans and corporations continuing to see record profits, while millions of people struggle with low wages, high costs of living, and a lack of access to basic services which their policy has created.

I'm just in awe at the lack of critical thinking by a majority of Americans that can see this circus and think this will work out in their favor. I guess this latest Republican grift by Gaetz triggered me before I had a chance to finish my coffee. All I can say is American can't blame what's about to happen on Democrats so let's see what happens.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that people seem to be largely driven by emotions more than logic these days. In addition to that, the majority of people seem to accept that shift.
