For this amount of funding I would expect a way more innovative approach like:
- native integration into Brave Browser for adding a wide audience of new user or
- adding those HIVE support and tipping feature into Meta Mask extension
Comparing this with funding of dapplr and what I've seen what was delivered so far from both - the funds requested are way off!
Read the proposal, it is all spelled out.
But then again, some have seen a figure and not read anything without a $ figure in their trail of thoughts.
Who has to date tackled Gmail, Youtube (Google), Twitter?
You dare compare brave or Meta Mask to those giants of the internet!
Really.
You really wish to compare Youtube, Gmail and Twitter with Brave browser and Meta Mask?
OK!
idk, but I highly doubt anyone else out there would put them anywhere close on any scale/comparison. But OK, if you think they are, who am I to judge your personal opinions.
No not at all.
I'am comparing the distribution of existing Crypto Extensions to your current product.
MetaMask: 1,000,000+ User
Brave Browser (Ships with build-in Crypto Wallets): 15,000,000+ active User
Hivetips: 165 User
So from my point of view it makes way more sense to extend those open source products with Hive Wallet/Tipping features than putting more efforts into Hivetips extension. You could build the best product in the world but all your efforts will fail because of lack of mass adaption.
While extending existing products, which are already are widely used around the world, you won't even need a marketing budget, since people will start using those features in the moment they discover it when an updates comes in.
Thanks for the feedback.
When you have some time to spare, would love to chat and hear you out. The options out there are what some would say "infinite".
Hive is Alive!
Brave is a Chromium based browser and as such - is already up and running.
Isn't Meta Mask primarily for ETH based tokens? I believe there is a custom addition where anyone that wants to add a token can to their wallet and since there is wHIVE now, perhaps that can go in there - if you want to pay for the gas.
@dapplr is great, no doubt about it. I (@enginewitty) was voting for their proposal before any of the big whales came and pushed it into the spotlight. I am also curious to see what kind of professional marketing they have in mind on only 30 HBD a day. In my mind, they did it right. They came with a fairly finished product and asked for a little bit of help. They got it. We're asking for major funding that takes up less than half of what is available. Is there a sufficient reason not to approve #hivetips based on that alone? To save it for what? Is there a $4000 HBD a day or a total of that in combined proposals that are coming up the pipeline for something that is fantastic? Why not vote now, and when those present themselves, feel free to remove your vote and place it elsewhere. You can vote on all the proposals if you like. Or none. It costs you nothing either way. It costs you nothing to advance Hive. It costs us all a lot to sit on idle hands.
