RE: Rewarding Excellence Phase 2: Funding education using SBD to provide educational materials to assist poor students/Meet-ups

in #promo-steem7 years ago (edited)

Children are made to go to school compulsorily and left uncarted for with no books and no lockers or chairs and classes are over loaded with students of above 100 in a class.

It is totally unacceptable to have more than 35 students in a classroom. In Shalom Academy Nsukka, where I thought high school students Biology (about 200 of them), they were distributed into 6 classes (S.S.S 1 A -F). I even learnt that, ideally, a class size should be 25 to 30 students.
For the Universal Basic Education (UBE) program to be successful, learning facilities & conducive environment (not students sitting on the floor) needs to be on the priority list of all stakeholders. Let's make it happen for the students of Government Secondary School (GSS) Mararaba, Nasarawa State.

My dear the ideal classroom size is maximum 30 but most schools don't keep to it. There is an office/inspectors in- charge of checking all this in schools from the Ministry of Education but they will never do it. They prefer going to schools and asking for packages from the school than doing their jobs. Its just a pity. I pray this project gets all it needs so that we can reach to the children in the school to make a positive impact in their lives.
