Welcome to week 2 of the Steem Fantasy Premier League. The game week starts at 13:30 CET on Saturday with Arsenal hosting Burnley at the Emirates Stadium. Don't forget to submit your changes and avoid the likes of an injured goalkeeper!
Previews
Saturday 17th August
Arsenal V Burnley
Burnley face a tough trip down south after their surprisingly comfortable first week victory against Southampton. Arsenal are another team who won last week but have home advantage this weekend and will want to make it two from two in front of supporters who have not had much to cheer in recent seasons trophy-wise.
Aubameyang (Arsenal) scored the winning goal last weekend, looked sharp, and is selected by 27.9% of all fantasy league managers. Ashley Barnes got 2 for Burnley but many must feel this is a one-off as he is selected by only 3.2% of fpl bosses.
Aston Villa V Bournemouth
Bournemouth head to the midland off the back of a score draw last weekend and their side includes popular 'value' picks Frazer (17.2%) in the midfield and Wilson (17.7%) up front. Aston Villa have an opening day defeat to overcome but have the advantage of home territory this week and could potentially bring in new signings Jota, Frederic Guilbert, and Matt Targett.
Brighton V West Ham
Brighton started with a 3 nil victory last week, a start contrast to West Hams, err, hammering away to the champions. Neal Maupay played well as a substitute for Brighton and could force his way into the starting eleven on Saturday. West Ham looks awful against Man City but may stick to the same eleven and hope to perform better against weaker opposition.
Everton V Watford
Watford started poorly at home last week whilst Everton failed to capitalize in a game they dominated away at Crystal Palace and both teams will be looking for their first win this season. Moise Kean and Alex Iwobi arrived at Everton just before the transfer window closed and may be brought in. Also, Morgan Schneiderlin is suspended with Jean-Philippe Gbamin likely to take his place.
For Watford we could see Roberto Pereyra come in to the starting eleven and Gerard Deulofeu move up alongside Troy Deeney.
Norwich V Newcastle
Despite losing heavily against Liverpool last week, Norwich weren't terrible and be a stern test for Newcastle who lost their opening game at home. Timm Klose could come in for The Canaries whilst there is a chance that Jetro Willems will get the nod to start for Newcastle.
Southampton V Liverpool
Liverpool who were rampant, especially in the first half, last week are away at Southampton who lost 3-0 in their opening fixture. Adrian will likely start in goal for The Reds and could be a popular substitute while the first choice Alisson recovers from injury.
Salah is set to be the most captained player by fantasy league managers this week and Sadio Mane is likely to feature with Origi being the man sacrificed. For The Saints, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could come into the midfield but the team may also be unchanged.
Man City V Spurs
The weekends big game sees City host Spurs in what could be a testing game for the away team, and fantasy league managers as squads contain a host of players from these two sides. Christian Eriksen was excellent as a substitute last week and could start and for City, Bernardo Silva will be hoping for a start - perhaps in place of Mahrez who despite assisting more than once, had a shocker in front of goal last week.
Sunday 18th August
Sheffield Utd V Crystal Palace
Newly promoted Sheffield United, who earned a draw at Bournemouth last week, host Crystal Palace who also got a point last week as both sides look to pick up an important win. Wilfred Saha looks set to start for Palace whilst goalscorer Billy Sharp may have earned himself a start for United.
Chelsea V Leicester
Chelsea, who were poor against Man United, will be looking to improve at home to Leicester who will have other ideas and boast a good record against the top teams. Kante, still unlikely to be fully fit, could well come in to bolster the midfield and Christian Pulisic may well be tested also. Leicester may well start unchanged but Dennis Praet is likely to feature at some point.
Monday 19th August
Wolves V Man Utd
In the final game of the weekend, Manchester United travel to Wolverhampton in the hope of making it two from two. United look set to remain unchanged following the excellent result last week, and Wolves are also unlikely to make any changes against a team they fared well against last season.
Top Transfers
No surprise to see Alisson as the top substitution out this week but managers are split between who is the best option to replace him with Ederson and De Gea both popular choices.
Low key performances from Jimenez and Frazer have cost them their spot in many teams and popular replacements come from Manchester United and City.
Good luck with your selections this week!

Hi, acidyo, is the steem FPL registration still open?
Yeah but not to really inactive accounts as it would be considered they are sockpuppets attempting to increase their chances at winning, sorry.
PS! Sorry for posting this a day late.
A timeless preview :D
Several interesting games.
So far without significant surprises!
Super late review. You were spot on though, Auba still got us the winning goal. I captained him because I thought he'd get his usual two goals against Burnley, sadly didn't go as planned
Me too :D
12 points is OK, i think this will be a low scoring week.
Same here. I had high hopes. I'll be getting in Pukky before his goals dry up
Hi, acidyo please can I still join the steem fantasy league
