POSH Earned From Twitter Shares and Delegations

When users make a tweet with a hive link to their post and includes the #hive hashtag, those tweets are eligible to earn POSH tokens. Also all delagators to the @poshtoken account.

Here is the chart for the daily distribution.

We can see some changes in the token distribution back in September.

The distribution of the tokens moved more to the delegators side. Now there is 500 tokens issued split in 50% - 50% share for delegators and tweets.

Number Of Accounts Receiving POSH Rewards

Here is the chart for the accounts receiving POSH rewards for sharing tweets.

The numbers of accounts reciving POSH rewards for tweets is in the range of 100 to 120 per day.

For the delagators the chart looks like this.

As mentioned there was an increase in the amount of POSH tokens distributed to delagators.A steady growth in the number of delagators in the period. From under 70 to 130 delegators for the @poshtoken now.

POSH Burned

POSH is burned for the accounts that are eligible to POSH token earning but haven’t linked their Hive account on the token website.

We can see a drop in the amount of POSH burned from 120 to around 30 tokens per day.

Top POSH Earners

Here is the chart for the top POSH earners from sharing on tweeter for December 2022.

HIVE Rewards To @poshtokens Comments

The @poshtoken bot automatically post the link for the shared post, as a comment under the post. When this comment is voted on from other users, the HIVE rewards go to the post creator. When the creator of the post is selfvoting the comment, those rewards go to the @hive.fund. When the account is not linked to the poshtoken web, the HIVE rewards also go to the @hive.fund.

Here is the chart for the daily distribution of HIVE rewards.

We can notice that in the last month these rewards are up. There is an initiative for more votes on comments like this. The amount of daily HIVE distributed is now reaching 200 HIVE.

A growth towards August and then a decline in the last months.

Some thoughts on these stats;

Twitter's been a bit flaky ever since the Elon acquisition, they recently also decided to change something huge suddenly in their API's but thankfully we noticed it a few days in and got it to work again so amount of daily POSH eligible tweets is back up. Though keep in mind the amount of Tweets registered in the daily @poshtoken account means that's only those with at the minimimum amount required to earn some POSH, not all tweets going out daily sharing Hive links and properly tagging them with #hive.

Number of POSH being burned or going to null going down is a good thing as it means more and more users are aware of POSH and have linked their Twitter account so those POSH won't just be wasted if their shares were eligible but we didn't know who to send them to.

Another thing we want to mention is that as for delegation we've decided to count @poshtoken's own and growing HP towards delegation rewards which means everyone else is earning a bit less due to that but we're going to slightly lower the POSH rewards sharers earn over time as well to balance it out. Since we just recently went from 75/50 between sharers and delegators to 50/50 we figured we give the sharers a bit more time to earn the same amount of daily tokens until that starts to slowly but surely go deflationary.

There's some more things we keep an eye out but it's hard to determine what constitutes as abuse and what not, naturally all this stuff happens a lot more over on Twitter and we on Hive are no strangers to abuse as we keep finding it here as well every now and then. We're determined to make sure posh only rewards genuine users and growth of attention so that our voices on web2 can be real and have real impact, not like the majority that exist there. On top of that since we use the reward pool to support the price of POSH it directly means that if you are registered, accepting posh &/ hive for your shares but purposely abuse it through like/retweet trading, botting, other services such as "cashrain", etc, we're eventually going to ban you which means you won't be able to earn any rewards from us anymore. You'll still have the badge on the front-ends that you've linked your hive and #web2 accounts but similar to downvotes here it will mean that you won't get the benefits all other genuine users get.

PS! Thanks @dalz for searching for and providing these stats!
