It's been a few months again since the last POSH transparency post, these may take some time to write out and I'm kind of quite busy lately with @holozing so excuse the delay, then again most transactions stay on chain and don't go out so I think many are self-explanatory so it doesn't require that much explanation. However we have started slowly to begin funding diverse other activities so I figured it'd be a good time to talk about that and why we at this point in time are refraining from applying for DHF funding but continue to run through post rewards as long as the community deems it acceptable and a good way to spend them.
Liquidity has been a major sucker of rewards these last few months due to the growth of @redditposh activity - this has been amazing to see but has caused for our funds to not be used on to so much else. The account @nomnomnomnom liquidates rewards with 0 fee so that sharers and authors can get their rewards from @redditposh comments in liquid hive rather than having to wait for the other half of staked HP.
Let's look into the amount spent on liquidity since Dec 9th:
Total amount of Hive sent to @nomnomnomnom since that date is 3829.136 to provide liquidity for sharing rewards. This is something you can check by checking outgoing transactions to @nomnomnomnom from @poshtoken here: https://peakd.com/@poshtoken/wallet
There are a couple tx's sent to the wrong accounts that were refunded to avoid confusion in case you filter by outgoing tx's only.
We also tried to provide some liquidity in the liquidity pool but had to revoke that hive and posh recently as @nomnomnomnom needed more liquidity, this has affected previous liquidity sent to that account +/- price changes in posh.
On Dec 15th we also sent a total of 300 Hive to @dovycola to represent Hive on their shirts in a local event.
A total of 65x3 hbd has been spent on POSH servers and we are due for another payment here soon. The servers have a monthly fee of $60 and are taken care of by @rishi556 through @hiddenblade to assist with fiat payment.
Since then, with the increase in participants in @redditposh we decided to slow down the amount of HP we delegate on a weekly basis and offer some HBD on top of it so that @poshtoken wouldn't lock out too much Hive in staked form but allow us to spend some of that in the near future. We are currently offering 550 HP/week in delegations to the top 5 sharers along with ~65 hbd. These contests can be tracked through @x-rain who's been doing an amazing job running and spearheading redditposh activity.
Currently we have 15,583 HP delegated out to top sharers and a total of 275 HBD has gone out since December with some more backlogged until @nomnomnomnom has some more liquidity.
Upcoming.
With bluesky API being integrated and comments picking up Hive link shares there, the comments - if they get voted - currently only give rewards out to the authors. We will over time enable it to work similarly to redditposh and the old X/Twitter posh so that sharers can sign in with Bluesky on hiveposh.com to link their accounts and then receive daily POSH rewards based on their performance and hive rewards based on curation of the comments as well.
We have yet to release a new way for people to manually share on @peakd snaps their activity getting the good name of Hive out there on different platforms and in different methods along with a way to look on Hive for ways to garner attention to their shares. This is being worked on so we can present it in the best way forward and will require a couple extra curators to help out as well.
Other than that, we're looking at POSH to generate some extra funding to grow the onboarding initiative at OCD by rewarding onboarders with some extra rewards due to the nature of direct onboarding require some guidance of newcomers which takes time and effort that should not go unrewarded. We have some ideas in mind to do monthly analytics based on onboarded account's performances on-chain so that onboarders who've taught them well and brought in some active people who enjoy spending time here get some additional rewards on top of the rewards the initiative already offers.
Let us know what you think about these initiatives, if you'd like to help fund our activities you can vote for @poshtoken & redditposh daily posts or @poshtoken comments posted now and then based on needs. We believe that once @nomnomnomnom is caught up and selfsufficient with its powerdowns covering future rewards of sharers it'll open up some more funding opportunities for different things we'd like to try at a lower scale until we find something that works well enough to see scale up and then go the DHF route.
Thanks for reading and being part of POSH & Hive.
POSH is still accepting delegations for some time forward, we've recently upped the POSH rewards to delegators and redditposh shareres but our token hardcap is nearing and soon some changes will occur where the only rewards going to delegators & sharers will come from @poshtoken.wallet funds which are POSH that have already been bought back from the market once. This means we will be artificially lowering the amount of rewards we give out to make the token even more scarce and hopefully maintain some value for the holders, delegators and sharers who haven't simply sold it but held onto it until now. We also hope to add some different usecases to it that'll burn POSH in the near future - such as looking for boosts to grow the outreach of your web2 interactions from hivers through snaps.
More info in the near future about that!
As far as I can, I'm trying to make Hive better known and the Posh project is a good motivation to keep doing it.
I just don't understand exactly how I can support Posh.
Which account can I delegate Hive to in order to support you too???
@poshtoken is the account that accepts delegations and sends out POSH rewards in exchange!
One good friend I follow on Hive earned some decent Hives from Posh. POSH has been putting in a ton of work behind the scenes. I'm so happy to see the way everything is evolving. Wishing some good luck for the new initiatives
Not gonna lie I totally forgot about my blue sky account lol will jump back into it and see if we can get some traction and posh!
I finally got around to making a Blue Sky account so I can use it for POSH.
#posh is so cheap I'm just gonna speculate here while all of you do the sharing work
We can see a big movement on Reddit because of POSH. It's good that we have projects like this at the head of Hive, and not just people with automatic votes wanting to dictate things.
looking forward the peakd news! for me it's the most friendly front end for web2 users... all the team behind hiveposh does a great work, can only thank you all!
Here is a questions I've been arguing with myself about @acidyo : If I understand it correctly the only way that community accounts keep track of admins and moderators and such is through a custom json operation correct? So when the client opens and a community is accessed then the client has to trace back across the blockchain to find all those custom json operations to find out if the user has some form of special access to the community. So what is done to mitigate that taking longer and longer the older the data is on the chain? Or some other method that information is stored as well?
API nodes take care of that stuff, they do not search through blockchain each time such requests happens but rather build their state so they can handle it quickly.
That makes sense thank you.
I suggest asking in the Hive Discord
Fair fair thanks for the response.
I'm just not that technically inclined :D
Lolz fair enough bro
Oh one more thing as well. @acidyo can you make any recommendations in terms of getting my witness campaign visible? Thanks again man.

Sounds interesting. Paying $POSH for getting an extra Redditposh container could be another (probably) nice usecase if this is technically possible.
wow,maybe i want try play POSH.lol
