The "Islamic world" has problems because of them pesky humans. Pull them out of the equation, and the system is perfect.

I have had many beloved Moslem friends for decades- I have always respected the essence of the Qur'an and their sincere faith.
It is not MY path to transcendent experience (but it's certainly impossible for me to gainsay the validity of zikir as it's precisely the same process as sankirtan), and mine is not theirs- but we have always been able to accept each other.
I can say EXACTLY the same thing about my sincere Christian, Buddhist, and Jewish friends.
